UPDATE:
Due to entirely unforeseen circumstances, the release date for Worms World Party Remastered has been delayed. Here's the official word from Team 17, and stay tuned for more info right here and on Twitter:

[i]Hello Wormers,

During final testing for today's release of the game, our QA team discovered a critical bug buried deep in the game's code. No one at Team17 is happy releasing the game with this bug in place. We'll be working our prods off to get this fixed and on sale as soon as possible. We’ll be providing updates via @WormsTeam17 on Twitter whenever they become available.

Thanks guys,

MT17

Oooooooooh I love these games. Definite buy!

Ever since I first played Scorched Earth (anyone remember that one?) back in the DOS era, I've loved these type of games. I fell in love with Worms 1, and then Worms 2 and then Worms Armageddon. Never played WWP though. I'm looking forward to playing it if it is an enhanced Worms Armageddon (my personal favorite).

For what it's worth, I have never actually played Worms Armageddon multiplayer. I guess I could never find anyone who was interested. But it was still a blast all the same. :-)

NoxTM: I just can't get too enthused about yet another near-identi Worms game for $14-$15.
I feel similarly. Owning the game physically makes the price tag feel high because I always think I should not have to buy a game a second time to get a DRM-free version but because I want to. :)
The remaster is really unimportant to me and is not worth the price.
Let's not forget that if you're not interested in a remaster the higher system-requirements are completely pointless.

If I buy the game in the near future then only if they port it to Linux. I am fine with paying (near) full price for the port. Otherwise it would take at least a 75% discount for me to buy it.

I haven't lost the interest in this game, though. :)

I must have this! I still play this game on my playstation with my friend whenever he comes over. It's been like that for 12 years. But since we live far away from each other, it would be awesome to play together online.

Smannesman: I always thought Armageddon was considered the best one.

Konrad: Sort of, but they're more or less the same game. Armageddon was the explosion of awesome and it got the cult following, World Party was like an expansion to that awesome, with just more stuff and probably too high a price tag considering.
Are you Konrad 1 or Konrad 2? :D

Only reason I want it is because I could play online =x

Will the 20 % series completion discount be available after the game is released, or is it only usable for pre-order?
So is Worms World Party Remastered really related to Worms Armageddon? WA was one of my favorite Worms games! Will it share the same music?
WP got remastered, but not Armageddon? The latter being a game that defined friendships for most of my early teen years?

Some other time then.

I didn't even know about World Party O_o

Yep, once I can play WWP multiplayer via GOG Galaxy on Linux, this game becomes an insta-buy -- bring it on, GOG & Team 17!

The worms series are all essentially the same game, just adding bits and pieces throughout each installment and sometimes graphical overhauls. But honestly, WWP has quite a few more features to give than Armageddon did, in turn making it the quintessential Worms game (As it was the last before the series went to the highly hated 3D games)

I used to play Worms and Worms 2 Armageddon as solo and multiplayer , when i was teen. I think, i gonna buy Worms World party Remastered, when released.
Should we expect classic version as a bonus? :)

Kabus: Should we expect classic version as a bonus? :)
The remastered version has everything that classic already had, why bother?

Will it? For instance, Homeworld Remastered has disabled LAN, even when the original game had it.
