BreOl72: It definitely has something "Zelda-esque" about it.
Though, as someone who has played "Breath of the Wild", I think I would rather compare it to that.
Yeah, it looks like BotW gameplay combined with WW setting. Pity actually, because I think BotW's gameplay is weaker than a lot of the classic Zeldas.

Most preorder bonuses end up as optional DLC. At least in my experience. In cases like this they are just giving them for free as an incentive to preorder. I would bet that they will be available after the game launches and not as some exclusive.

Oh cool, I can't wait to play Minecraft: Breath of the Windwalker!

Joking aside, this game has potential. I hope it's not just copies of Zelda games with added survival elements. But I will wait until the game released and see people's first impression.
To me the game's background (shipwrecked and stranded on an island) and the trailer made me think of "It's Rhyme with fighting and crafting" or "Rhyme meets Zelda Windwaker".

I'll probably take a look at it once it's out and the first reviews come in, but I won't hold my breath for it...

If it's as good as the trailer promises I'll hope for a good sale by the end of the year...
Looks interesting, in spite of the cheesy pre-order bonuses as I generally don't do pre-orders and this does not inspire me to start! Wishlisted as this reminds me of a mix of submerged and Rime, I hope they'll be able to polish the performance as it looks as though it's yet another fps hogging unity title!

Time4Tea: I agree, this looks like a Windwaker clone. Windwaker had a lot of sailing between islands (its main 'gimmick'), which judging from the screeshots this does too. WW got great reviews, but imo wasn't one of the better Zelda games. I found the design to be somewhat lazy, with a lot of empty ocean and a few mostly very small islands. The first couple of hours in the first area were amazing, but it ended up with a lot of tedious too-ing and fro-ing across the empty ocean.

Edit: it's also got hints of 'Moana', with the girl protagonist; tribal body art; spiral pattern on her hand.
Keep in mind, WInd Waker was rushed out the door along with other big Gamecube titles; and the HD edition did fix a handsome amount of the problems the game had. Though none of the cut content was actually restored, sadly.

On Topic: I'm less than jazzed about a pre-order bonus, that screams, "We have no confidence in the ability of our product to stand on its own."

Snarkily noted of the replies: Sure is nice for the MRAs to out themselves openly so I can safely belittle and shun them.

Yeah, Windwaker definitely felt rushed and for me it fell a bit short of the usual Zelda standard of polish. Anyway, back to this one, it's good to see a Zelda BotW clone on here - I haven't seen many others. I'm not personally too bothered about the pre-order in-game items, as long as they're just cosmetic. I can understand people not wanting to encourage the practice, although that could perhaps be done by just not pre-ordering, rather than writing the game off entirely?

Anyway, I'm not one for hype and pre-ordering games isn't something I generally do. I prefer to wait for the reviews and make sure I'm getting a good game.

Loving the art style.
Nice-looking game, but the score, to me, is seriously offputting. It demands my attention to the degrree where I end up listening to the score and watching the pictures accompanying it. That's kind of the wrong way around, isn't it?

Here's hoping it's limited to the trailer.

A preorder bonus for a game I've never heard of or read about? :P

tort1234: This looks like one of those games that will get woke, go broke

https://www.oneangrygamer.net/get-woke-go-broke-the-master-list/
... why? Anything specific besides the protagonist having boobs like 50%+ of the population? I mean, if it has obnoxious topical social commentary going on, I'll avoid it, but I'm not seeing that anywhere on the store page, in fact sex/gender is not mentioned once. Y'know what, I'm probably replying to a troll, screw this.
Looks interesting. Wishlist for now.

tort1234: Most modern american games are being aimed at girls to push this girl power crap.
I know I shouldn't bite, but… which modern American games are you following?
Take a scroll through this list, for instance: https://www.pcgamesn.com/upcoming-pc-games
I see mostly: traditional high-fantasy with ridiculous swords/axes and armours, sci-fi space marines (with ridiculous armours), superhero games, competitive team sports, tuner cars, excessive gore, and generally a lot of very forced "badassery". And the list seems to be pretty comprehensive with regards to upcoming AAA games.

For all of the talk in certain circles about how "SJWs" are "ruining" their games, bugger all of that sticks once you look at the actual market, which since the time I started gaming in the early 90s, I don't think has ever been as overwhelmingly bro-focussed as it is now.

Also, minor detail: this game is Australian, not American.
