vicklemos: And we get nothing back. Nothing.
It's taxes. Of course you get nothing back. I get nothing back. It just magically vanishes before I ever see it and then it finances the BND to spy the crap out of us. Where is the relevance to the matter at hand?

vicklemos: won't see even in your wildest dreams, I guarantee.
I can empathize, really, absolutely. Yet still fail to see the relevance here. :(

vicklemos: You guys at least have Uwe Boll.
Who is an idiot, and who actually DOES receive some kind of government grants to fund his "movies". Still, corruption? Weren't we talking about that?

vicklemos: but I really dunno if you, as a non portuguese speaker who lives outside of Brazil, will really get the idea. I mean it.
As of now, you posted a lot of things, some of which made sense to me, yet none in the context of this discussion. Either you'll make an effort to set the things that do concern this game, this game company and its funding straight, or not – but what you posted as of yet was really just unrelated FUD, not an effort to actually clarify. So, you supposedly helped fund a game through your tax money. What exactly keeps you from feeling pride in that? ;)

A lagging trailer often shows off a problem a game will have on release... :(
Graphics looks nice. Game idea sounds boring. Maybe the story is any good.

edit2: for you folks to enjoy
Awesome vid. Anyways,I don´t think there is any reason for boycotting this game if it manages to be a good game. "Real" corrupt companies with direct link to the government don´t tend to produce good stuff! :D :D :D
THIS looks cool :)

Look forward to seeing this when it's out...
Any idea about how long this game is?

As in hours. I tend to be slow and thoroughly explore everything so I'm not looking for speed-run times :)

I've played plenty of games that are pretty short (and some that are barely even games...gone home, dear esther, etc) and at the right price those can be worth it too. And this is a pretty good price...unless it's a 3 hour interactive movie/novel.

Riotact: Thanks for sharing that insight here vicklemos, it does offer a new dynamic to the discussion
Not really, this guy is probably a supporter of the dictatorship or some other right wing nutter. Brazil is less corrupt than most states in the world, most notably less corrupt than nations where good old capitalist dictatorships still rule.
http://www.transparency.org/cpi2014

Also notice how he only talks about the GDP, as if that is in anyway related to the well being of poor people. If you compare the country to columbia, basically the only right wing capitalist goverment left in south america, Brazil looks way better. Half the unemployment and so on.
nvm

hm, conflicting feelings, i like it but also it seem strange at the same time.
I guess we'll see after release.
Thanks for bringing it here.
an ico'ish vibe in there imo. looks pretty good to me...
i seem to have ended up on wrong site. One minute i was GOG next was some economist GDP site about south america. Game looks interesting.
Is this game similar to Ico?
Um, hooray for screenshots which tell absolutely nothing about the actual gameplay... ?

Looks interesting, but definitely waiting for release and some reviews.

Edit: Hm, just noticed the low price. That's potentially nice, since we have a lot of overpriced Indies here. On the other hand, I suspect it's a very short game. Will have to wait and see...

Never mind man, he's never gonna be able to prove anything. Lately we have a lot of people complaining about the government over here (which of course has it's corruption problems, as everywhere else in the world), but most will just ignore the greater corruption that came before the actual president or the one before.

Sure, he gave some links and I can provide a list of others saying exactly the opposite. In the end it doesn't matter, because not a single one of them is related to the game, rouanet law or anything to support his claims.

Really, I'm amazed at someone saying that you are supporting communism in Brazil if you buy a game that's being developed for years now. That's really a long shot. =O

Pardinuz: Looks and sounds gorgeous!

Are there any other good games made in Brazil?
EDIT: Googled it myself.
Well, there are way more brazilian games than the ones on that list. Just two that I remember: Mr. Bree, already here on GOG, and these week we have the release of Chroma Squad. Also, look for a digital store called split play, it only sells games from Brazil ;)
