Double the katana, double the attitude.

Shadow Warrior 2, the bombastic sequel to the notoriously cheeky FPS, is now available for pre-order, DRM-free on GOG.com, with a 10% pre-order discount. Owners of Shadow Warrior (2013) or Hard Reset Redux get an additional 10% discount.

He will slice, he will dice, he'll make the demons pay the price. Lo Wang is once again caught in the middle of a cataclysmic fight that involves dark magic, dark science, and a whole bunch of misshapen monstrosities. But the talented death-dealer is now packing an expanded selection of murder weapons, including his katana, daggers, and hand claws, alongside some nasty magic powers and dependable firearms. The 4 player co-op and brutal damage system will make using all these new toys all the more rewarding and Wang's trash-talking all the more justified.

Craving some more Wang? The timing is perfect for Shadow Warrior Classic Redux to arrive in our fair parts, and with a sexy 75% launch discount to boot! Sporting remastered visuals, two expansion packs, GOG Galaxy support for achievements, and all the old-school sass of Lo Wang, this is the definitive edition of the cult classic. Plus the original Shadow Warrior Classic Complete is now FREE for all those who want to see every single pixel that they're cutting off their enemies.
The 75% discount on Redux will last until September 9, 6:59AM UTC.

Pre-order Shadow Warrior 2 and get ready to carve up some nasty demons, DRM-free on GOG.com. Want to add some style to your mayhem? The Deluxe Edition comes with the soundtrack, the art book, and the Solid Gold Pack.

The 10% pre-order discount will last until the game's release on October 13.

Does gog detect the country by ip before enforcing regional lock? If not, for those affected by the problem, why not creat a dummy account and gift the free game to your main account?

ElTerprise: Well technically the second if you count the digital comics for Hotline Miami 2....
You are right, I forgot about that one.

Yup, by IP.

darthspudius: not if its drm free on Steam.
With Steam, you get all the glamour of the launcher that has bolted-in ads for the Redux version (as well as Duke Nukem 3D: Megaton Edition, despite the fact that it's no longer available to purchase anywhere).

It easy to forget though. I only remembered that because i looked at the list regional locked games earlier because i expect Shadow Warrior Classic Redux to end region locked to at some point as it already is locked on steam...
It will be eons before I have a PC that can run the new ones, but the Redux made my day. I love the original but always would have liked to play a cleaned up version, even if it's just a little.
Haven't even tried to run the first of the new series on my PC, so I doubt the second will run well either. Perhaps down the road though.

The Redux version looks good however, so I'll probably pick it up today.

strawberrykiller: Shadow Warrior Classic for free, yes! Oh, wait, I live in germany and the game was recently "removed" for german buyers.
PM'd ya a code for it, at least that option still works.

Dralel: People are complaining over a weapon SKIN? Wow. Let's just ignore the double discount GOG are offering!
avatar
J_Darnley: Yes. Yes we should ignore discounts and be vocal about fucking pre-orders. Stop doing them. They are universally bad for the entire gaming industry.
A weapon skin pre-order is bad for the games industry?

Stop repeating me. :P
Great Release and I want to buy the Redux, but no Linux version, as usual no explanation from GOG neither. I cannot even buy it while being assured the Linux version is coming.

GOG certainly doesn't make it easy somwtimes. Even when you want to throw money at them.

Us old guys with old PCs have to stay cranky together. ;)
Dangit. I just got done saying no-more preorders on GOG after the Witcher 3 "eff you early adopters edition" happened. But dammit I have to support Flying Wild Hog, especially after they let me get Hard Reset for less than a Big Mac.

Linux version is coming, but not on day one. I recommend not to pre-order though, until it's actually out.

Grargar: Yup, by IP.
Oh right, because of the store. Well, plan b is having a non german buddy making those accounts and plan c is having a vpn.

I think developers aren't releasing it on day one, but it will come later. That's the reason GOG doesn't list Linux.
