Ganni1987: On this new Pathfinder game, I was really hoping you wouldn't make the same mistake, unsurprisingly though you did and you even made it clear in tiny text that they wouldn't be available 'at any other time'.
+1. The pre-order bonuses are really a shame and it puts me off as well. Unfortunately, the precedent set by Cyberpunk has given a clear green light to every developer to do this on GOG now.

I am also put off by the lack of a Linux native release.

Does this one have the same options as Kingmaker to choose between RTwP and turn-based combat?

Looks like a great game, and what I wanted out of Baldurs Gate 3, especially with the options for combat. But it will have to sit on my wishlist for a while until I can afford it :(

YES! This more than makes up for that shitty little middle school dating sim! I wonder if Linz will make an appearance/join my party?

As for the various editions, no way I'm getting the mystic edition as the season pass is not offered separately, and further, I'm only going to get 2 out of the 3 DLCs anyways so it will be much cheaper than buying the included season pass for 100-fuckin' dollars!

Since this will be a day-one purchase anyways for me, I may as well just buy the game at 11:30 PM on 9-1-21!

Why the whining about pre-order bonuses? It's a couple items, one pet, and a few skins for animal companions... Not a big deal, but let's act like it's the end of the world and all.

I mean, you could just pre-order the game if you really want it, right? God forbid the devs want people to show up and buy on release, and they're providing a little bonus for the people who do show up. Good for them, and I like it when devs do that.

Not like pre-ordering is a risk either. You can easily pre-order, and if the game turns out to be bad (this game won't) you can get a refund. So what's the problem here?

Anyways, Wrath of the Righteous was an easy pre-order for me. I had a great time with Kingmaker, and everything I've heard and seen say that this new game is just much better in all areas. I do hope that the runtime on this one is shorter though, since I did feel Kingmaker was just way too long.

But yea, really looking forward to diving into this on September 2nd.

And to the Devs -

I really like the exclusive pre-order content. I think it's nice little bonus for the people who show up and support the game on day one. Stuff like that does encourage me to pre-order (which I just did with the Mythic Edition).

Edit: Oh, and I really dig that "Box art" for the game. Much better than Kingmaker :)

Ok, this is actually one of the most hilarious posts this week here :D
But I'm glad you're happy that you're getting the kind of dating sim you prefer.

That’s all well and good, however what about if you don’t see the pre-order until after it has ended? Then you are missing some content. As with other thing it is a yes or no not a how much question. Is the full version missing content after a certain time, yes it is. Just the same with cyberpunk, does it have content online gated, yes it does. Doesn’t matter if it’s one pixel or half the game.

Anyways, that aside, I would have preordered full version as I did with the previous game. Shame GOG have chosen to ignore any issue raised, so this goes on the wish list of lost sales.

If you miss out on a promotion or sale then you have no one to blame but yourself, especially when you have an entire month to pre-order. People who pre-order get a bonus / promotional items. You shouldn't be looking at it like you're missing content, because you really aren't. The people who pre-ordered just got a little something extra. That's why their called promotions...

Instead of people throwing a tantrum about it (not saying you are), they should suck it up and do better next time if they care about it. People who buy a game on day one are paying the highest price, and getting the worst version of the game. The bonus for people who aren't pre-ordering / buying on day one is that they can wait for a sale.

And If you're gonna buy soon after launch at full price then why the hell wouldn't you pre-order? There's no reason not to if you're intending to buy it for full price. There's literally ZERO risk in pre-order.

I think the whole thing is funny, especially you bringing up the Cyberpunk stuff. Yeah, that GOG logo t-shirt, Witcher Jacket, and the all purple sword is some real "content" you're missing out on. They're pointless items that don't even fit in the game and have no value to them statwise or anything. Those items are the most worthless things possible, and just there to promote GOG, but we'll call it "content"...

I don't know why you feel the need to "announce" that you would have bought something all the time. Trust me, no one cares if you would or not, but you're likely just full of shit, and just want some attention. If you have issues with GOG, then go buy the game on Steam then? Show us you're not full of shit, and that GOG actually lost a sale here. I'll be waiting.

Why do you need to pre-order? Do they have limited stock?

You don't need to pre-order. It is an option though, and some people do for various reasons, like pre-order bonuses, to show support to the studio / game, or maybe they have poor internet and a possible pre-load would be beneficial for them.

I'm sure you knew that though, and were just trying to be cute or something with the limited stock comment... Yeah, you're a real funny guy.
To PR&Art department -

I expected a "wow" launch trailer; got below mediocre one. You surely could do better!

Yours truly, Backer
Pre-order is for insane people. You only have your fantasies and media hype to go by that doesn't reflect at all what product you are going to end up getting. Sure, you are going to enjoy your game no matter how bad it's going to be because you can't admit to yourself that you are insane or idiot for buying something that doesn't even exist yet. Or at the very least, something you can't play yet. Oh wow, you get bonuses for being stupid and wasting your money. Congratulations! I suppose you deserve it. Don't bother checking your IQ, your pre-order bonuses will tell you exactly how "smart" you are.

Pre-release / In-development is bit different since at least you can play around with the beta. And if you're lucky, might have your suggestions heard by the developers.

People like you are the main reason why games are getting worse and worse while corporate executives get more and more arrogant. I was expecting wee smarter people around here but no. The same Steam wankers are everywhere.

Umm, you do realize tons of people have been playing this for a long time already, right? It's basically been in a situation very similar to Baldur's Gate 3. So no one is judging or buying into a game based on blind fantasy or media hype.

Lol, nice job making yourself look like an ignorant fool though. "Me ConanTheBald... Me Stupid".

And again, pre-ordering has literally zero risk involved. So why not pre-order if you want to play a game at release, especially if there's some bonuses for doing so?

And on top of that why even care what someone else does with their money? I'm sure there's things I spend money on that other people would think is stupid or foolish, and the same goes for everyone else here. I don't care what anyone else does with their money, because it's none of my business and people like what they like, and they're the ones who work for it.

I know that just are a couple of items, a mascot and some skins, but it feels like they cut you some content just because you are poor.
You say that that somebody can pre-order it if they like it and want it but it's not always true, for example, in my country we have to pay 65% of taxes in top of the price for every purchase outside our country (Argentina), I can't afford to spend that amount of money in a game just to have all the content, because I earn arround $400 per month, sometimes even less. I really want to buy the game because I tend to skip titles like this, make the game feel incomplete and as second class player, just because I don't have money in a specific time.
Kingmaker is awesome, especially the enhanced edition, I know the game won't disappoint and it worth every penny but they could easily add the bonus as an extra DLC or make a discount for those who can't reserve it, but no, they choose to be a**holes :(
Besides that, I hope you enjoy the game (I'm sure it will be awesome) and congratulations for your pre-order!!!! :)
