Woah, a FREE demo... For real?!? How is this even possible these days?ß???ß
Thanks to devs and GoG for this demo - good form. I like how big the character sprites are, allows for more detail in their depiction and makes the scenes less crowded; in the same vein, happy to see the optional hot-spot highlighting.

One weird thing with my playing the demo: I was not able to Alt-F4 out of it; when I tried, the PC froze and I had to do a hard reboot (haven't had that happen in a game in ages).
Very happy to see a normal demo these days on PC. The dev and publisher gained a solid bonus point in my books, will definitely try soon :).
I've played the demo and so far it is a solid adventure game. I like the graphics and the atmosphere. Volume level of the voiceover could need a little more work though (e.g. it was very low in the sheriff's bureau).
The final briefcase puzzle wasn't too good in my eyes. The hint made it sound quite complicated, while the solution was in fact very easy. Seems like the developers wanted to confuse the players.

Overall the demo wasn't good enough to convinve me to pre-order the game (but I hardly do that anyway), but I'm interested and might buy it after release when the reviews are solid.

I felt the hint pointed exactly toward the solution and in fact was glad there was a hint - I am too obtuse to have found that solution without it.

I was glad there was a hint too. Would have been impossible to find the solution without one. But because of the hint and the math book, I thought I had to do some complicated math while it was in fact much easier. But maybe that's just my problem and I'm corrupted by too many adventure games with weird and abstruse puzzles.

Hopefully not the Wild Wild West of Adventure games.
I agree that hint was a bit more confusing than helpful. But Finally was able to managed it :)
I personally would appreciate a bit more user friendly mouse control - quick menu is not my favorite. I prefer left / right mouse button click And double click for fast-move .
Thanks devs

Krusbert: I just thought I'd mention that you can now download a free demo here at GOG, if you want to try out the game before pre-ordering :) Enjoy!
Thanks for providing the demo! Unfortunately not a lot of developers do that anymore. I'll definitely will try it out.
Thanks all for the support and feedback regarding the demo! :)

Voice over volume hickups in the Sheriff Station were caused by a bug, and has been patched in the upcoming release build of the full game.

We will also upload an updated demo on release day, featuring a working save system and a proper menu, due to popular demand!

Is the GOG version coming with any sort of achievements?

Yup, the GOG version has twenty achievements to unlock! No overlay support though I'm afraid, due to technical reasons. You'll only be able to see your unlocks in the Galaxy client itself.

Also, I figured I'll put a small reminder here: Less than four hours left of pre-orders now!

If you're still on the fence, maybe the launch trailer can change your mind! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5oxhUgUhq3g
I think it's really cool that adventure games devs are supporting AGS, purchased. :)
