20,000 pieces of loot under the sea.

Diluvion, an open-world action/RPG of free exploration, is now available for pre-order at 15% off.

Centuries ago, our great civilization got buried under tons of cold water. The survivors somehow persevered long enough to build a network of submerged cities, each with its own culture, religion, and way of life. As the captain of a humble submarine you are chosen by fate to go on a journey that might bring humanity's best-kept secret to the surface.
But there's a reason nobody managed to survive this mission before: The ocean is full of deep-sea horrors, unclaimed treasure, hidden societies, and uncharted places. To brave them all you'll need to spiff up your sub with upgrades and hire a skillful crew to help you navigate the many dangers lurking there. Face the challenges head-on with a formidable dreadnaught or swim the path of the silent hunter but no matter your approach, be mindful: the sea is dark and full of giant terrors.

Pre-order now to secure your access to a unique ship called The Deringer, as well as the Digital Captain's Journal for an in-depth look at the game's lore & mythology. You can also pick up the Fleet Edition Upgrade, which features a digital copy of the game's Soundtrack, a Digital Artbook and an exclusive playable sub, the Manta.

Pre-order Diluvion today and get ready for an underwater odys-sea full of heart-pounding combat, peculiar encounters, and terrible monsters, coming soon, DRM-free on GOG.com.

The 15% pre-order discount will be available until the game's expected release on February 2nd.

anothername: Does it has a proper save game function? Save as in save & reload most any time I want and not stuff like only on exit if at all if nobody dies.

bennewhouse: Hey Stubborn, I'm a beta tester for Diluvion and can confirm that the game does have a save & reload system. You save by visiting key locations, which are marked on your map as you find them and are surrounded by schools of green fish. So it's not 100% save any time you want, but it's not hard to get to a save spot when you want to, although sometimes you might get killed on your way back.

Great thanks! :)
Fine by me from the sound of it (as long as there is no stunt like "and on death all saves get deleted" is pulled).

My name is as much "Stubborn" as yours is "New User" ;)

Fair point ;) Definitely no save game deletions happening. You're just reloading at the last checkpoint saved.

Awesome :)
Right now I'm not pre-order happy but looks like a really great buy at release candidate.

bennewhouse: Hey AlienMind, I'm a beta tester for Diluvion- there is a save and load system in the game, which does work both within and between missions. You save by visiting key locations, which are marked on your map as you find them and are surrounded by schools of green fish. Many missions have multiple parts, and you can save throughout, so long as you make it back to a key location alive!
Nice! Thanks.
Thanks for the answer about saving.
Before I pre-order, I'd still like to know whether this has a completely random, procedurally generated content, or it's hand-crafted/scripted.

NP- it's a bit of both! The developer wrote more details about this over on their Steam forum page: http://steamcommunity.com/app/446790/discussions/0/217691032447806820/#c142261027584505911

From my experience testing it: the overall maps and quest-lines are hand built, but the looting spots within the map, the loot itself, and enemy placements, all seem procedurally generated.

Oh and the dev estimated a play-through time of 8-10 hours.
I hope somebody from GOG or maybe Arachnid reads this but I believe the system requirements have an error/typo. I've been looking over the web from google over geforce.com up to a benchmark library site but I positively cannot locate any GeForce GTX 300 graphics card.

Before I pre-order and end up being unable to run the game on my laptop (with its GeForce 840M), what eXactly is the minimum required GPU? Is the error/typo with the GTX where it's supposed to be just the GT 300 series or is the typo with the number and somebody slipped on the numblock and meant to write GTX 600 (or equivalent) for eXample?

The first would be quite a dated GPU while a GTX 600 series card would be a lot more powerful than even my 840M.... Please help me out with this. :D

Hey there PoulVantera. Thank you very much for spotting this! It is indeed simply a mistake, as it should say "GT 300 series (or equivalent)." We're working on correcting this on the game's store page now and it should be up there soon.

Thanks again!
