Yeah, most of us know a lot of English freeware games, but what about some old freeware games which are only available in other languages. I would like to start a hunt about the really obscure stuff. Do you know about a promo game of a restaurant which is only in Italian? Cool, please post it. However we want to find some older stuff most people don`t know. These should be:

-older games only, preferably freeware.
-If possible include a download link to the game.
-Please no stuff from App-Stores. Downloads should be available without having a specific device.

If you know a Game and think it`s not available in English and really obscure, you can post it here.

Ok, I will start with some German stuff:

Vampirjagd + Nightrace Vampirjagd 2: http://tanz-der-vampire.de/download.php4
Old promo games for a musical. No I haven`t seen the musical.

Pulleralarm - Christmas Edition 2: http://www.gratisgames24.ch/freegame_show.php?an=253
Game around the German show host Stefan Raab. There was also a commercial version of the game but these levels are exclusive for this freeware version.

Hiebe für Diebe: http://www.siedler4.com/show_page.php?page=hfddown
free promo game for Settlers 4. As far as I know it was only available in German.

Bimbes Bettler: http://bimbes-bettler-helmut-kohl.giga.de/
Old parody game about the former German Chancellor Helmut Kohl. Help him to collect black money, but don`t get caught by Merkel. :P

Angriff der Bimbes-Kanone: https://web.archive.org/web/20030208052913/http://www.bimbesrepublik.com/
Another old German parody game. Throw money suitcases at German politicians.

List of beer related shooting games:

Most of them (probably all) should be in German as well.

An old freeware game from a Slovenian bank where you play as a piggy bank (...yup). You have to get as much Tolars (our old currency before the euro). It's a really simple platform, supposed to teach children to save or somesuch.

I checked the file, works fine on Win7, no viruses reported.
Just searching google:

A couple well known Japanese games for which fan translations exist are:
Cave Story (original) http://www.cavestory.org/download/cave-story.php
La Mulana (original) https://archive.org/details/La-Mulana

Note that both those games have remakes that were officially released in the US, but they're not freeware. Cave Story+ is not *that* much of an upgrade over the original. La Mulana, however, had a complete graphical overhaul, had some rooms redesigned (including all the bosses), had other significant changes, and had a few minigames removed in the paid version.

Just a warning: La Mulana has some rather obscure (and difficult) puzzles.
Mission Supernova and Andromedas Erbe.

First person point & click adventures for DOS.
Kolejarz
A Polish oldie in which you manage and route railway traffic on a train station according to given timetable.
Attachments:
Not that obscure but German language only, and too good not to mention it:
Die Reise ins All, a really outstanding JRPG with custom graphics and a 19th century adventure setting.

A lot more obscure: Captain Zins, promo point-and-click adventure for a German bank. So old that it might still be DOS. There are a lot more like this from the 90's here.
Here`s a promo game for German malt beer "Karamalz".
It´s an ice hockey game, which can be very fun with a friend at local multiplayer. It even includes some playable boxfight sequences. This is a very old game and afaik it doesn`t have a DOS version. You`ll need an Amiga or C64 Emulator to play it.

Karamalz Cup Amiga version: http://werbespiel.blogspot.de/2010/07/karamalz-cup.html
C64 version is included within the following package: http://werbespiel.blogspot.de/2010/11/c64-werbespiele.html

There a also a lot of other obscure games on that site. Some of them are also in English, though.

OK, challenge accepted! :o)

Here's the 1991 French game "Les Aventures De Moktar":
http://www.abandonware-france.org/ltf_abandon/ltf_jeu.php?id=462

This game has quite a background to it..... Back in the days, the French stand-up comedian "Lagaf" was highly popular in France (and Southern Belgium too) and after making a hit song about a washing basin, he made another hit song called "La Zoubida" about a North-African girl living Paris whose parents have forbidden he to go to the dancing party so she elopes with her boyfriend Moktar on a scooter but the bike was stolen and they get arrested by the police. Here's the music video:

Needless to say that it would be politically impossible to make this nowadays.......

Anyway, it's also good to point out that the game was made by the French company Titus from which you can by Prehistorik 1 & 2 here on GOG. But the fun fact is that one year later, they actually changed the main hero and a few details to actually release the (almost) same game under the name "Titus The Fox" for the foreign market.

Here you go - Ворона / Vorona (russian for Crow).

Its a DOS-era abadonware game, which is pretty awesome. You don't need any language knowledge to play or understand it.

Video.

Most of them (probably all) should be in German as well.
Aw, man, there goes my opportunity to peddle The Last Eichhof. Possibly my most-played freeware game of that era. So silly.
At first thanks to everyone, who posted already some information and links here.
It`s always great to learn about some old games you`ve never heard of and we have some interesting suggestions here.

Also pretty interesting story about Les Aventures de Moktar.
I didn`t knew that comedian. The video looks fun, even if I don`t know french.
Somehow it reminds me of Yume Kōjō: Doki Doki Panic which was released as Super Mario Bros. 2 in the west.
Interestingly enough, these games seem not only to have a similar background story, but the main character of Yume Kōjō; Imagine looks also similar as Moktar. :)

Of course I will take a look at everything, but I still hope we can get more suggestions on this thread.

I would also like to take the opportunity to add some Finnish freeware RPG´s.
Areena RPG series: http://www.seppos.net/areena.html
Unfortunately I can`t say much about the game. I tried Areena 2 and it worked on Win7.
If we have a Finnish speaking person here and you know something about the game, please let us know.
