TerriblePurpose: It'll be interesting to see what/if they do anything. Of course, if they do add TPP, I'd be all over the game on release day.
I've been wondering ever since the news came out it's going to be a FPP game why they don't just use a system similar to Jedi Knight II/Jedi Academy. Melee weapons (if any) would default to TPP, projectile weapons to FPP, with the option to lock either everything on one or the other if you're so inclined to.

Sure, the aiming will probably suck big time in TPP if they go along with the JKII/JA system, but maybe they can think of something better.

Make up your mind and make ONE perspective, whatever that may be. Build the game around it.

nightcraw1er.488: I want isometric view as First Person is nauseating, and I don't want to look at some character model arse for x amount of hours, when will GOG listen and implement this, and top down for that matter.

CharlesGrey: They should just turn it into a side-scroller and call it a day.
Good shout. And implement a racecam. Damn developers writing games in their own vision and not ensuring to implement every possible viewport, waaagh waaagh!!

That's what they were doing. Then people complained about it. :P

Pretty much. This tendency to try and develop a game which does everything for everyone and makes everyone happy is a sure-fire way to end up with a mediocre, bland mess, with no sign of a coherent and original vision. You know, like most modern AAA games.

Personally I'd also like the option to switch between first and third person perspective, but much more than that I want them to stick to their original vision of the game, and not shoehorn in features at the last minute.

If it was a visual novel we'd be playing Cyberpunk 2077 Episode 23.

Anothername: Maybe I'm too pessimistic to see what you see; but to me it all reads like "We know. We just don't care; so suck it up" with a few fancy words added to blow it up to article length.

If they add TPP gameplay it will go from my "hard no" list to most likely a day one buy. Otherwise... meh.

richlind33: It looks to me like the game has been built around eye-candy and political correctness, rather than story and mechanics, so a TPP option won't make that much of a difference for me. But I'll keep an open mind and hope for the best.
I don't know about that and frankly I do not really care at this point. As of now I still have to assume they are on FPP only so my ambitions to follow up on CP are still at nearly the zero they dropped too when they announced they abandoned TPP.

How political or not it will be is a worry for when it checks out on all base requirements. But since its CPRed and the world of Cyberpunk we are talking about I probably would not be very worried about that.

They should probably smoke a big fat blunt and let it roll
