My issue came during a sale where i purchased quite a lot from GOG showing my support and trying to switch from steam to GOG since i liked the concept. My cart got wiped out when i was trying to check out, when i got back everything and made purchase i noticed one game, Fallen Enchantress, was the regular instead of the ultimate which i had in my cart, i got charged for the lower one. The sale was still on and it took them days to reply, i asked if i could be charged the extra 6 dollars for the ultimate which is what i wanted and explained what happened. They said no and would not try to accommodate but said they would give me a refund, had they gotten to me promptly this would not have been an issue but they got to me literally an hour after the sale so i would have had to pay a great price for the game i was trying to buy. I have always had the mindset no matter where i have worked to help out customers as they are the lifeblood. It was an error and i didn't want the upgrade for free, just at the price it was when i bought/sent requests for help. To no avail and now i will have to pay 15+ for the upgrade if i choose to get this as i am not wanting to use GOG as much as i wanted to as Steam customer service has always been much better, or amazon. It may seem like a small thing and in the greater issues in life it is small, but the response time and the tone and treatment from customer service, not even mentioning the lack of trying to help or accommodate in any way, left a lot to be desired. So i will just choose to do the only thing i can and vote from my wallet and that is what i have done. During the last holiday sales surrounding Christmas if they both had the same product i wanted at the same price i ordered from Steam or Amazon. I understand you don't always get what you want or helped how you ask, but being treated in a poor manner when you are supporting their business is something that doesn't ever sit right with me.
