Empire Strikes Back tops my list, with Phantom Menace going to the bottom. Although I was extremely disappointed with The Force Awakens, I have to rank it higher than the prequels (which are an abomination).

How can they be used to make advanced polls?
Of course, it's Empire Strikes Back on top and Force Awakens on the bottom. I didn't like prequels, but obviously they are better than this abysmal reboot that we got in Force Awakens!

And Rogue One was excellent; I placed it on fifth; had to put Revenge of the Sith on fourth just for the sake of the Emperor and Order 66!

;-)
I like them all. Empire strikes back and return of the Jedi are all good movies. A new hope is OK, but I think I like the new movies better. So far, I've been impressed with all of them. They are quite fun.

THIS THIS THIS THIS THIS THIS!!!!

At the end of the day they are all fun, and rank or no I love them all.

DaCostaBR: I put Return of the Jedi on first. Making a beginning is relatively easy, making a satisfying conclusion is hard. Say what you want about ewoks but the entire ending sequence with Luke, Vader and the Emperor is my favorite part of any Star Wars movie.

Phantom Menace goes on last, of course.

BelatedGamer: I have to agree with this; say what you will about the Ewoks, but the battle above Endor and Luke's confrontation in The Emperor's throne room are the best parts of the entire trilogy.
Hmm. The Ewok Adventure should be on that list. :)

Hello? Did you see our replies?
Remove that spoiler at post 2, please..
Sad actually that my appreciation of the prequel trilogy improved after seeing The Force Awakens.
I thought the Pod Race, in the theater with the full surround sound, was worth the price of admission for Episode 1.

Please, edit that comment for the people who didn't see TFA, but are checking the thread.
Apologies. I had not considered the possibility.

I think it has the worst (spoiler) light saber duel.

Anyway, Star Wars is done for me. It's Disney now. They are going to have one every single year and milk it to death. After what Jar Jar Abrams did with StarTrek left a very bad after taste for me. Star Wars is done to me, time to move on.

(SPOILERS for Ep1)

Too bad for the cringeworthy plot:
- Qui Gon: let's bet everything on an unknown kid! Wait.. couldn't the jedi just partecipate in the race, instead?
- Anakin: I can build and repair everything! Such skill will never be used again..
- The mother: I mysteriously remained pregnant alone. Pff.. like the virgin Mary. She probably just had unprotected illegal alien sex :P
- Yoda: A strong Sith has been spotted again after centuries? Let's just send again the same Jedi who struggled fighting him.
- Anakin: I can read cards without seeing them. Wait, how could he be a poor slave on a "gambling planet"?
- Ben: I'll train the kid, even if he's dangerous. So, f**k the rules? At that point, Yoda would have been better.
- Anakin: Oops, I destroyed the enemy base randomly! The rebels should feel embarassed lol.
(etc..)
So many bulls**it events and asspulls.
And I didn't even need to mention Jar Jar Binks much..

EDIT: and the Midichlorians ruin the "spirituality" of the Force, making it a result of just luck, based on random "alien" presence..

Strijkbout: And Darth Maul.
The Pod Race sucked :P I hated Anakin, so how could I give a crap about his race? Everything on Tatooine was such a annoying, pointless detour in a plot that already felt underwhelming and boring. The race is a great example of how the prequels fail- it doesn't matter how great the effects are when I don't care about the plot and the characters involved. No matter how fast they are going and how awesome it looks, there is no tention.

And I always thought Maul looked goofy and was a complete no-villain. He's just a glorified henchman who started the trend of progressively more ridiculous lightsabres.
