edit: Looking for the relationship between Assad and Gaddafi, however first impressions is they are two separate leaders from two different (probably neighboring) countries. I am currently reading and watching various snippets of information and news to straighten this out. So my previous comment is likely misinformed.

the us gov is pretty upset about syria's and russia's succefful restoration of peace and order to the whole isis area. if there's no isis us gov has no one to blame for further terrorist attacks in europe.
