years ago ok i play texas hold 'em poker at pkr.com - i didn't know the game at all not even the values of the hands you can have. but somehow i used to win games all out of "luck". then i started to mock other players when i beat them and by coincidence i kept losing matches until i had no more money left and i quit. and now i learned poker decently because conquer online has poker and as i said this before, you can win substantial money if you're good. at first i won little money but later i killed 2 players and confiscated some of their equipment - and first thing i see is that i didn't find enough protection pills for some jiang hu feature of the game. instead of getting like 15 per hour i barely got 4. and then, even if odds were in my favor, i lost much money at poker. there was a match when i got a "straight" even from the flop but enemy player got lucky and made a "flush" with the river - with the last card. so he beat me just like that.

my question is this - can game masters control the "luck" of players? can they make me lose or win? it would be a shame if even poker is corrupted because i read in news that conquer has new poker system now and i'd want to get back and try it since i just finished nwn 1 again today.

Right now, I'm not sure if I should be pissed because of the bot-flood, or if I should be impressed at how they're able to dig up these old threads and react to it.

I was thinking OP was a bot let loose with links to a couple of casinos to advert. But checking other posts by ciomalau I see it is not rigid enough to be a bot. It was someone capable of... wait, that's an overstatement. It was an organic life form capable of arguing against posts that criticize it or call it out. A regular spambot doesn't even try that because it becomes too obvious that it is not human, but ciomalau argued (while trying to attract sympathy to disguise the fact it wasn't human either).
