AFAIK, there was an effort to deal with Humble at some point, which also fell through, but I don't know the details. I honestly don't expect to see anything decent on other platforms, itch.io et al. are probably out of the question due to their higher cuts, and probably a (once) high-end studio like Cave wouldn't want to be on there, you know, brand value issues and such.
While I don't care for them too much, other DLC (superplay videos, arcade posters...) is also not available here.
Blackbird of Degica assured us that all these would be available later on after the Steam release, but that was a long time ago, and he no longer works for Degica so communication has also stopped. I did ask another Degica guy on shmups forum about this stuff a few days ago, I'll post here if there is any update.
