I hope that older titles scale as well as they do on the pcsx2.

SirPrimalform: That's because when Nintendo claims backwards compatibility, it's usually at a hardware level. To their credit, I've never heard of them describing the Virtual Console as backwards compatibility. But yeah, it's no secret that the Wii basically had a GameCube in it and the DS had a GBA in it.

...do you add Backwards compaibility to PS2 and NOT PS3 games :P

And now that whole HD updating of PS2 games for PS3 was all for naught :P
For PS3 games there is that cloud-streaming crap known as "PlayStation Now". Anyway, they arrived just 13 years later than PCSX2 :-P

hercufles: meh still have my ps 2 collection and my old ps 2 if i want to play ps 2 games i play my ps 2 console
The PS2 won't last forever and you don't have much space on memory cards. The only good thing about it is for easier use of lightgun games.

And I remember that one big shot at Sony said the PS4 wouldn't be backwards compatible with PS3/2/1 because "it's a feature not many people demand". My arse.

I wonder if they were referring to the CoD players or those that play Sports games. I know i'd love backwards compatibility (of course it's too late to pitch it now). And the sheer number of games on the previous platforms that you don't need huge amounts of resources to play. Damn, consider today's games coming out at 50Gigs while old PS2 games range from 1Gig to 4Gigs... And do them better too.
