Due to lack of space on internal HDD, I have bought an external one. Now, forgive me if I am daft but do I copy GOG Galaxy and the whole games or do I just copy individual ones at a time? Any thoughts will be appreciated.

Some of them will work and some of them wont.

games are tied to the registry. so install it to your external. if something happens to the external without you first uninstlaiing the games, you may have to manually clear the registry before you can install again.
