Matewis: I've almost forgotten about the Still-life series. Anyone know if the 2nd is as good as the 1st?

The 1st one has, I thought, a surprisingly engrossing Jack the Ripper inspired story.
the general consensus is it's not. I played it a few years after the first and enjoyed it. inventory tetris was annoying (fuck that mattress), but not much else to complain about from memory. then again, I have a bad memory (though I remember annoyances for life, which is a gift and a curse), and I gave up post mortem, the much more beloved tie-in, pretty fast. I don't really like 1st-person games, nor ones that take place a long time ago though (relatively speaking).

Unfortunately the second is not even remotely as good as part 1 but it is still enjoyable imo.
My only regret is that the games are not voiced by David Suchet, otherwise I'd be throwing my wallet at the screen. David Suchet is proof that there is only one Herule Poirot! <3

Breja: Murder Mystery Machine? Sounds like and R-rated Scooby Doo reboot.
If you see the game's screenshots the characters look like a bunch of Scooby Doo rejects
These look amazing. Both made by Blazing Griffin, helluvah dev (the ship sez it all)
Lookin' gooooood.

I'm also looking forward to Vertigo. The teaser trailer doesn't show much, but it sounds promising.
Seeing the story from different perspective (which might not allign, since everyone remembers things differently :)) sounds like a nice idea.

I see thank you, that was what I was afraid off. If it wraps up the story from the 1st then I believe I'll rather skip this one, seeing as I thought the first game was stellar.
Well I would be interested in the Christie one, but since nothing here can be confirmed DRM-free any more... *sigh* I'll put it on the wishlist for now, I guess.
I am a bit slow and did not realise until now that Mircoids changed their name in 2019 from Microïds.
