I've already got the regular game, but with the sale I might be interested in getting the extras.

Are the lore books interesting?
Is the map useful?
Is the strategy guide any good?

Or save money and play game in old school way.

Yes. Not particularly. It's good to see where things are in relation to each other, but doesn't give you any advantages or clues in the game. At this point probably not. The classes, monsters, skills, ability scores, and talents have been tweaked, changed, and overhauled so much since release that the guide is probably not going to help you much as far as character building and combat.

Is the soundtrack interesting enough to listen to?

Had to go check and.... wouldn't you know it.. it's posted on Youtube. So checked it out for myself. I'll get the soundtrack later, I think.

Basically, it 'is' pretty. Very somber music overall. But for the asking price of the game 'with' the soundtrack, I had to turn it down. I'll get it some other time when I have the money to burn and fine with the price at the time.

But yeah, make of that what you will. Always good to check Youtube for someone that's posted the soundtracks if you aren't sure about them. :)
