Darvond: Yes, there were games distributed this way; in fact much to IBM's ire, the two most popular games were a baseball simulator and chess.
Do you have a better link? In particular, do you have a link that doesn't go to a site that autoplays videos, and preferably one that uses text and static images rather than video?
