Hello. I'm trying to buy Hellblade:Senua's Sacrifice while it's on sale. I go to checkout and choose to pay via Paypal. I get to the screen where it shows your total,etc., and I click the Pay button, and then for a second or so, it looks like it is processing, and then it just goes back to the same screen with the "Pay" button. And the shopping cart does not empty. I've tried hitting, "Pay", twice and the same thing happened.

I was considering just trying my card, but I'm worried that my two attempts at paying with PayPal will suddenly both go through. I'm on disability so I have a fixed income and almost every dollar is allocated to specific things. If I suddenly have those two attempts both go through, and I have a charge on my card as well, I'm going to be in a pickle.

Try to complete the payment in a browser that has zero extensions and addons, or do a refresh bypassing cache (e.g. CTRL-F5 or CTRL-SHIFT-R in Firefox) of the checkout screen.

I'm not using any addons or plugins. I am using the Opera browser. Not the gaming version, just normal Opera. I'm not sure what you mean by, "refresh bypassing cache". Are you saying to just clear my cache?

EDIT: I just did some searching around and, apparently, it's not just me. There are a LOT of complaints from people that have not been able to make payments via PayPal on GoG. It looks like it's been going on for a few years at this point. From what I could gather, it looks like the underlying issue is that GoG's site is really out of date. As far as the software side of things. So, I don't know. If that were the case you would think they would want to remedy the situation. By the sheer number of complaints about the issue, they've got to be losing money over this.

Is there a way for me to delete this post? I can edit it, but I don't see any way to actually delete it. I don't need assistance any longer. I have the game in question on another platform.

I just completed a payment through PayPal moments ago with no issues. In fact, I had no problems using PayPal on GOG since I started using it about 2 years ago.
Having gog, paypal, adyen and braintree whitelisted in uBlock Origin and NoScript works just fine for me, using Firefox.

I have just bought a game through paypal via chrome so there is no reason to not work, and with opera i've purchase on other stores with paypal without problems. Currently i don't use opera browser anymore since last updates.

Personally i never had issues with Paypal. Mind you i had like $100 in the wallet in paypal at the time, so it didn't need to ping your credit card first to complete the transaction.

Same thing started happening to me in Galaxy. I log into Paypal, select my payment, GOG refreshes with nothing completed. Tried a fresh install of Chromium too, so no cache or browser extensions. Turns out it was the payment location. I guess it changed recently because my bank started blocking it. Absolutely no errors from Paypal or GOG. Had to call my bank and have them unblock the transaction.

I'd probably also disable noscript for that tab/window as well, as card payments and the like tend to get tricky. Doubt ad-blockers would do anything negative.

I have this problem when paying with PayPal on the GOG Windows desktop application. Works fine when paying with Chrome on GOG website

I had the same problem last week, using Firefox, even with the extensions like uBlock Origin and NoScript turned off. But it worked fine on Opera.
