green.rabbit: Some hours ago I've opened a game's page and found it's out!
There were 1 30G file with linux version. As I was working, I hadn't started the download.
Now it shows windows download only.
Guys, what's happening?

paladin181: GOG seems to hate Linux. I don't know why.
Or we're actively working to get it out on without major bugs as the other threads have shown :P

paladin181: Sure for this game. How many others have no Linux version because your team can't figure out Galaxy on Linux to support them? Not you specifically Linko, I like you. This is just a huge sticking point to me because of several failed promises GOG has made to us as a community. Not even just the Linux support. Right now my relationship with GOG is love/hate because you guys do so many things SO right, and then you do a few things SO INCREDIBLY wrong that it just makes many of us shake our heads in wonder.
I can't comment on how many games come to Linux, but I can assure you the people working in that field work their socks off to ensure the Linux versions we have work and release on release dates or closer. As is the current situation with Kingmaker both on Linux and Mac.

paladin181: That's fair. I'm not insinuating that anyone is actively dragging their feet, man. It's not lack of effort causing things to look bad. I won't say it's outright incompetence, cause that's harsh, especially when I couldn't do most of the jobs at GOG personally. But there is some kind of disconnect somewhere when your competitors can manage to get these things working faster and more reliably than you can.... Enough derailing this thread though.

Thanks for the reassurances. Hopefully this gets full platform support, and kudos to GOG for working hard to make it happen!
It's worth remembering our competition also has far more resources at hand. Hence why we never did the GOG-Link or GOG-controller ;)
