This game was running flawlessly prior to this update, no complaints whatsoever. But after I downloaded this new update, I can either play for 30 seconds or not even make it to the main menu without a crash. I tried to verify files multiple times, but that has not worked. Does anyone else have this proble?

If you were playing fine, turn off automatic updates and roll back with Galaxy. That's the best solution for you for now, and after Christmas when the new patch releases you can try that and see if it improves.
Something seems to be seriously wrong with this patch.
There's one in the CP subforum which get's a crash after a few minutes connected to one of the files added by the patch.
I can't even install it for some reason.
If you can I'd advise rolling back, or reinstall and update to 1.04 while keeping the savegames if you use offline installers.

Thanks for the heads up - the offline installers haven't included a 1.05 update / patch yet but I'll make sure to avoid it for now (1.04 is working for me).
I'm so glad we're talking about patches and patch numbers with no game attached to it, so i can assume it's any game, like Diablo or Lizard Racing or something....

No it's CyberPunk 2077 dude!

Also noted there is 2 "open main menu" entries now in the keybinds too I'm sure there was only one before

The gods of the material plane attempted to salvage what's left of 2020 with a rules update. But 2020's bad fu was stronger, so the patch failed.

May advice works regardless of game being played. ;)

Well, the installer is now 1.05. That's what you get for GOG updating the offline installers so fast, dammit.

Hopefully the 1.05 version works better at least for some. I presume it was meant to do something else besides making the game non-functional.

EDIT: Well, yeah...

Elizabeth Peralez stops being excessively insistent with her calls after her job offer is refused.
The scene with Misty and Jackie now starts properly after leaving Viktor's clinic.

Fixed an issue with not receiving new calls or messages after Pyramid Song has been abandoned midway.
Fixed an issue whereby Delamain core could be already broken when player enters the Core room in Don't Lose Your Mind.
Fixed issues with Delamain not appearing or doing nothing outside the Afterlife in The Heist.
Fixed an issue with objective getting stuck on Talk to Viktor in The Ripperdoc.
Fixed an issue whereby it was impossible to talk to the bouncer in front of Lizzie's in The Information.
Added description for Don't Lose Your Mind in the Journal.

Performance & Stability
Multiple stability improvements, including crash fixes.
Miscellaneous
Offscreen explosions make noise now.
PC-specific
[AMD SMT] Optimized default core/thread utilization for 4-core and 6-core AMD Ryzen(tm) processors. 8-core, 12-core and 16-core processors remain unchanged and behaving as intended. This change was implemented in cooperation with AMD and based on tests on both sides indicating that performance improvement occurs only on CPUs with 6 cores and less.
Fixed an issue with the way Raw Input is collected.
Removed the use of AVX instruction set thus fixing crashes occurring at the end of the Prologue on processors not supporting AVX.
Removed debug console to prevent functions that could lead to crashes or blocked quests. This doesn't mean we don't want to support the modding community. Stay tuned for more info on that.
Ray traced reflections should no longer seem too bright in comparison to the environment.
Removed the memory_pool_budgets.csv file. which was not connected with the final version of the game and had no influence on it (it was a leftover file used during the development to estimate memory usage. It had no effect on how much memory was actually allocated). Perceived performance increase after editing the file may have been related to restarting the game.

Damn now I'm tempted again - that looks like a lot of fixes for possible broken quest triggers ;) Keep going with my performance and hope I don't hit one, introduce new patch that might fix a quest that may be broken for me... at the risk of borking game *dun dun dun!*
la misión second conflict (abla con Dum Dum) esta bug. No puedes dialogar con los npc de la puerta y te quedas hay pillado, y por mucho que cargues o te muevas no hacen nada.

With such huge patches that change scripting etc., I always wonder whether save games will remain compatible. Hence I prefer games when they are not receiving much of updates anymore so that I can remain in one patch level for the whole playthrough.

Which reminds me of reading there is a bug in CP2077 that if a save game file becomes too big (was it over 8 megabytes, or 8 gigabytes, I don't remember...), the save game file would become corrupted. But then it wasn't clear in that context if that bug is only in the console or PS4 version of the game, and not the PC version. And apparently you can reach such high save game file sizes only if you do lots of crafting or something.

From what I've read, crafting is completely useless, being one of those systems that ended up being undercooked due to all the crunch, so ignoring crafting for the moment should be an easy way to avoid the bug.
Fuck I was gonna roll back to 1.04 because 1.05 for me is an absolute bug fest (didn't come across many bugs during my 60 hours prior to 1.05) and it not only runs worse but looks worse, but then when I tried to roll back its 43 gigs wtf? is this a bug or is that working as intended?
