Lord of the Rings:War in the North. You have three characters to choose from and have various missions to accomplish. If memory serves, you can switch control before the mission starts if you decide you want to play as one of the other characters instead of the one you currently control. But you can't switch during the mission. The other two come along as well, but you only have rudimentary control over them (attack enemies or defend me).

There's not much in the way of dialog except a bit between missions to set up the mission goal(s).

I picked the game up quite some time ago for about 5 bucks, not expecting much, but found it surprisingly fun.
Wasteland 2 too much story? You should probably play Fallout Tactics. I think it's one of the few games with less story.
Card Hunter is my recommendation. It's a free-to-play turn-based tabletop inspired RPG. You can play solo or co-op and there's PvP too. It's also grid-based, and all your skills/abilities come from cards, and the cards you have are determined by the items you have equipped on your characters. Each item has 3 or more cards with it, so one armour item will have 3 different armour cards than another armour item, or one weapon item will have completely different cards than another weapon item. And there are class/race specific items/cards too. It's a fun game and a really fair free-to-play model as well. You might be a bit turned off by the way the game looks, I felt that way too at first, but when I started playing, it actually became quite charming. And the devs update is fairly often, sometimes with a new dungeon!

Really they still update with new stuff? I LOVED this game too - I played through the single player campaign about two years ago maybe?

The game is fantastic, with tons of charm. The comic book style "meta-story" between the geeky kid, his best friend, dorky older brother and girl of his dreams is just all kinds of funny and endearing. Loaded with a ton of solid nerd tropes as well.

I'm not even someone who plays free to play games. I think I've only ever played this one, a short stint with Lord of the Rings Online and a squad based WWII game from YEARS ago that I'm sure no one has ever heard of.
I'd like to second some of the ones already mentioned...

Might & Magic 6-pack (3 through 5 are all solid) - short bursts of story with very few decisions, a lot of killing, but they do have a fair amount of puzzles.

Temple of Elemental Evil - Whole lot of dungeon-crawling! Tasty!

Card Hunter - mostly "go there & kill that!"

I haven't played it in a several weeks, but since they've been on Steam, they've done regular updates. The last one was on Dec 21st and they added some holiday stuff and a new Mauve Manticore (Dungeon). But yeah, it is a really good game. I did find some of the nerd tropes kinda awkward, but there is still a lot of charm and good times to be found in it. Definitely worth checking out since it's free-to-play.
Its hard to find a game like Dungeon Siege which is both Diablo style and party based. You already played the games I would recommend so my alternatives might be MMOs. Especially Star Wars The Old Republic. RIFT and Dungeons and Dragon's online are also good MMOs I loved playing. If you run out of games, SWTOR is very fun to play. Dont expect anything like KOTOR tho they are very different games.
Thanks for all your answers, but let me address some suggestions:

Torchlight is not turnbased, nor has a party (one pet is not a party).
MMOs are neither party management, nor turn based.
Would like something of max 6 years, so TOEE and IWD, and similar are out of the quesiton (need some eye candy as well).
HOMM is strategy, not RPG

Thanks!

InsaneGoblins: E:C seems interesting, will research. Feels VERY similar to BlackGuards though

Edit: Purchased E:C, seems exactly what I was looking for :)
If you liked Expeditions: Conquistador, you might also consider the King's Bounty Series(+[url=http://www.gog.com/game/kings_bounty_warriors_of_the_north_complete_edition]Warriors of the North+DARK SIDE), the Etherlords series(+[url=http://www.gog.com/game/etherlords_2]2), Banner Saga and the Disciples series(2).

Maybe Lords of Xulima?
Doesn't this game have a truckload of story and dialogue? It's the reason as to why I never got it...

KB is more an RTS like HOMM. I feel that the hex-chess board battles are overdone and boring nowadays.
EL: A bit too old, feel that I missed that boat
BS: Can't wait for the sequel!
Disciples: Same with EL. Missed the boat, need some eye candy

IWD has lots of ear-candy, though. Some of the music tracks are spectacular.

I find the graphics fine too. And yeah, not much dialogue, lots of party-based combat..

I'm going to assume you meant to write TBS.

If you liked Banner Saga, do you know about Skyshine's BEDLAM(STEAM ONLY unfortunately).

Then, you might consider looking at Disciples III: Reincarnation(STEAM ONLY unfortunately). Ignore the Renaissance and Resurrection versions of Disciples 3, they are buggier and incomplete versions of the final Reincarnation version.

Noo, the setting, story and atmosphere are the only good things about that game. The combat is lame, the RPG stuff, classes and stats is boring, the overland map is ugly and annoying. The only thing this game has over the Kings Bounty remakes is the historic world setting.
