I'd think most companies have "token" hires. Have to sometimes hire people that aren't necessarily as well qualified as someone else so the quota can be maintained. It happens to males, too.

No, I don't. Mainly because of how both the legal system and the labor market works in Sweden but also because the stories hasn't been as bad as the ones from Blizzard.

It's not good for the company though.

As a gamer you think "this DLC policy is a bit pricey and manipulative and then you think well the games have been good up until now and I spend a lot of time playing these games.

And then you hear a subset of the employees have been mistreated and you think well maybe the customers wouldn't care because they are only interested in the final product but as it happens...customers are treated just the same as these employees. Their presence is expected no matter what. Their opinion is not so important as the company is big enough to not worry about individual complaints. And the marketing is designed to reel customers in no matter what. If it were dating it would be called gaslighting. As it is gaming it's relying on other people to be stupid and convince you that either nothing was wrong or it wasn't a bad change at all.


Putting aside all the social issues...

Paradox started selling a product 17 months ago that it hasn't delivered yet (the first expansion for CK3). There is no release date yet. The teaser articles are interesting but the balance of those updates is questionable. The company is in trouble and it is not due to lawsuits, it's due to promising what it can't deliver.
