The time has come – a story-rich strategy game, Songs of Silence, is now leaving early access on GOG!

Get ready for a unique mix of turn-based kingdom management, exploration, and hero development, contrasted with short and intense real-time battles. While Songs of Silence is a game of epic scale, it is designed for modern life – with maps that can be completed in a single evening. You can choose your favorite heroes and experience a fully crafted, narrative-driven single-player campaign or randomized multiplayer maps.

Now on GOG!
Love this game! Now I can finally have my Light-Eaters and unleash my horde of Geists!
Didn't expect it to be out of early access already.
Congratulations to the dev team on the 1.0 release!
great! got it few months back can't wait to replay it after all the updates.
Wow it's out of early access!

Is there any chance that GOG might get the extra 20% discount for buying the game and all the DLC, as it is available on STEAM?

I'm happy to support developers of amazing games, but I'd also like to feel happy with my purchase... knowing that I got the best deal available at the time...

So units in battle really are on auto, you don't control everything? :/
Ah well...
Time to give the demo a try, I guess.

I feel like I should spend a month just going through all the demos I have.

The battle system is a lot like Endless Space. The catch is you have cards that have powers to give you an advantage in battle.
I’m most probably getting this one at some point but not before it is sold for less than 10€, my upper limit for Windows-only games.

It looks like a really interesting spin on the Heroes of Might and Magic formula, and from the screenshots it looks gorgeous!

That's not necessarily a bad thing though.
Mind you I'm no RTS aficionado, but from those strategy games I have played - they have 2 stress points.

1.) The need to twitch-reflex micromanage every single unit. (This is more of a Blizzard thing, but to some extent it also applies to other RTS'es)

2.) The need to keep the entire map under view and, perhaps, try to control several battlefronts simultaneously.

---

Now the second one does not apply to this game. Every battle happens in 1 view.

The first one - should not apply - the battles are not that fast paced and you only have a handful of units to control. (ok, the limit can be increased, but it's still just a handful of units.)

BUT for some people it can still be too fast paced.
Mind you, I agree with you, after playing some battles I would wish to be able to control those units; just wanted to bring this point out. :/

And compared to a TBS - you are either smarter, or dumber, than the AI. In this game -- it's a level playing field.
It's 2 AI's battling it out. You're just assisting 1 side with your power-cards.
Played a demo a while ago. It was interesting expirience.
