superstande: I find it funny to complain about the graphics. Other type of games like Star Wars Outlaws are available, you could be playing it right now and be happier ;)
Ehh it's less about the graphics and more about the presentation (I think SKALD looks really cool)

Skald is great. Amazing music. Cool original pixel art. It does get quite challenging quite fast, but if you learn the mechanics and keep on applying new tactics then it can be lots of fun.
But you can't eat asphalt :P

Instabuy - I was waiting for this one to come out of Early access, since I expected there will be several editions and by buying the EA one, you get the interior one - I was not wrong :)

Worth the wait, but I am currently enjoying Skald, so this one would need to wait ;)

Yes, don't get us wrong Superstande ^^. It's just gleefull comments about a graphic presentation, style or technology which does look a bit barebone, even though the game itself could prove to be excellent indeed . Between this one and Star Wars Outlaws, there's no doubt as far as I'm concerned : the first of the two is certainly way more complex, inventive... and actually immersive, provided that one's imagination can turn an Excel spreadsheet into a lush jungle :D...

Fair enough.
But technologically, Caves of Qud is not necessarily inferior. It is no small thing to get all those systems working so smoothly together under the hood.
I think it is easier to use a pre-made 3d engine with millions of users, each copying each others style :P
But anyhow playing is supposed to be fun so everybody play what feels right :)
