I suspect the game will be free on steam, so I think it's unlikely that GOG will be interested in "selling" it here.

Seriously one of the best games ever made

Apperantly it is not - it has its own page on Steam already.

The fan made project, uses fan made sprites and music. If you want the original assets you still need to own a copy of the original game. The original music is god tier, and I refuse to play the game without it.
