Agreed, it's great.
Starts off a bit slow but wow.
I mailed the devs about releasing this game here. They replied that gog rejected it. I was horrified to hear that, to say the least.

Well, at least it's got almost four times as many votes as Fist Puncher and Punch Club combined.

You're kidding me. It's one of the best games of 2014!

Probably due to Punch Club being (as far as I remember) a day one release and Fist Puncher being terrible. :P

I wish I was, but I'm not. And I agree completely about this being one of the best games of 2014 - I'd even go a bit further and say this is one of the most fun games I've ever played. I'd gladly pay full price for a gog copy.

Probably. I still doubt that either of those games would have surpassed OFDP on the wishlist by now if they had never been released here.

One Finger Death Punch is quite addictive if a bit simplistic (maybe one of reasons it got rejected.... having said that there are plenty of worse games on GOG which are less deserving to be sold here...)

I might be easy to satisfy, but I had a lot of fun with Fist Puncher. Not the best fighting game ever, but the great variety of characters and special moves and the bizarre humour made it good entertainment for one playthrough.

I also liked One Finger Death Punch, but in the end it really got repetitive and was too long for my taste.

Yeah, I can see some people having fun with it, I just didn't enjoy it at all myself.

Agreed on OFDP being too long.

Well, they released Super Hexagon here - a (unless I missed something) 3 level, 60 second each game about making a small triangle go in circles. Can't go more simplistic than that and yet it's here.

To be honest, I don't think they even played the game. If they had, they would have released it, period. No one could be that oblivious to how awesomely fun this game is. They probably looked at some screenshots, read the product description, looked at a youtube video for 30 seconds and figured it sucks. Next, please! It probably didn't help matters that OFDP is not a roguelike pixel platformer. I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt here, because if someone actually PLAYED the thing and still gave it a thumbs down, well...
For those interested in getting the game and not caring particularly if it ever gets GOG's seal of approval™, you can buy it DRM-Free from IndieGameStand:
