Up until recently; a tech magazine shipped with a gaming supplement called INSIDER with its own cover, reviews, QA pages etc. It was nice to read gaming stuff away from a PC for once. Now the magazine has stopped shipping and the guys who wrote for it write for IGN India. And this was like 2 years ago at most.

Yeah, I love revisiting that stuff. It's crazy to look through one of them and see classic game after classic game being talked about. It was a charmed age for gaming!

Does anyone remember Next Generation? I own just about every issue they ever put out. Still a great magazine--really in-depth even by today's standards. They interviewed everybody.

There was a PC version of that? I've got a Sega version and it's a real bitch to complete. If you don't make all the correct decisions about which path to take, you have little hope of completing it.

Sadly I had to dump hundreds of old computer game magazines (covering C-64, Amiga, and PC) a few years ago. One of my favorite "serious" American rags was Computer Gaming World. Luckily some dedicated fans put up a site with the whole run of its issues-

I had some of the issues from "Computer Gaming World", and I used to love looking through them. Sadly I think I threw them away, and now I miss them so much.

I own nearly every issue of PC Zone (greatest PC mag of all time) and am working on collecting the last few.

I own every issue of Amiga Power (arguably greatest Amiga mag of all time) and also many Amiga Action and The One Amiga issues.

I also subscribe to Retro Gamer, an excellent UK mag, and am trying to get all their back issues.

Acctualy i am in process of collecting every issue of croatian magazines.Hacker had some 115 issues (1994-2005) and PcPlay some 130 issues (1998-2010).ah,the good old days...i had about half of both when i was younger but dont know what happened to them.it would be nice if you guys posted some pictures of your collections

I remember buying Stonekeep with such a magazine, still have the disc in near mint condition to this day :-)

Same here. We needed the space back. Used to keep a pc gaming mag in binders with those plastic magazine holders. Enjoyed rereading the reviews but now I can't remember which magazine it was. Might have been CGW or PC Gamer Very happy this archive is available. Its fun to relive the times when adventures got mentioned on the cover of gaming magazines...at least occasionally. lol

Ouch. Yeah, my folks got rid of my Atari 2600, Spectrum, Amiga and Master System when I was at uni. Thinking about it - why do I still talk to them!?

Ahhh ! The good old time when games and demos were offered in PC gaming magazines (Pc Jeux or Joystick in France).
