It says failed

Not for me, I don't get failed or anything in the game console just initialized but it doesn't work.

It looks like Quake II ignores the ogg-winmm wrapper and for some reason this was never fixed. I remember that some games really needed the CD in your drive and a certain drive letter. Otherwise, there was no music.

I saw that the Quake II RTX version borrows code from the Yamagi Quake 2 engine to use .ogg files for the music playback. I think in this specific case the best solution is to use the Yamagi source port.

Looking through the Quake II files I'm not seeing a CD image at all as they are usually . gog and I know Quake II has CD audio so a CD image or a third party such as Yamagi is needed to play .ogg instead.

I know GOG had to remove CD audio for Q1 did they need to for Q2 as well?

Ahh GOG has them in a music sub folder.

I didn't think official (as thats what GOG seems to use) 3.20 called from .OGG.

Oh, simple. I switched to Linux, where this sort of thing is one and done if you install FFMPEG or something.

Contacted support for both Outlaws & Quake II, i hope for a fix, but i think that nothing will happen...

For Outlaws they says to check antivirus, but is not caused by that...

Just wanted to check in and see if GOG are still blaming antivirus or if they actually added the missing file to Galaxy installers.

We have to use offline version...

Thats pretty bad tbh. I'll also open a support ticket, maybe if more people did they would listen and not fob off with antivirus.
