So I go to hit play and it starts to do it's thing but never actually starts up the game. the play button goes from purple to gray then back to purple as if I didn't do anything at all. I've tried to figure it out but I can't. I'm running windows 10 as well. Please help

well, selling working, fixed or updated (old) games is not gog's main focus, sadly. so if you just purchased that game, try to refund it or do a credit card chargeback and try to get the game elsewhere. there are other stores with focus on selling working games.

Best way to get error information is to run the game outside of galaxy. To do this shut galaxy down completely, then look for the game exe in the install location. Run the game directly from the exe. What happens? Also do you meet the minimum requirements. And one of the things that normally goes wrong can be:
Do not install to program files or x86
Ensure all required components are installed, cpp extensions, direct x etc. These are installed by the offline installer normally, don’t know about galaxy spyware as would not have it on my machine.
I presume you mean Stranger's Wrath HD?

And aside from just trying the executable directly, we do need more info.

Maybe check the game subforum to see if anything helps.

Are you using Galaxy? If you have problems try to use the offline installer, I installed the game on Windows 10 and is working fine.

Just log in through your browser, and go to https://www.gog.com/account there you will find all your games, just select Oddworld Stranger's Wrath and download the files.

FYI: There is literally no difference between the game you install with the offline installer and the game you install via galaxy. There are only a bunch of people who refuse to use galaxy and go on these forums to gripe about it. Redownloading the game and installing it with the offline installer is no different than uninstalling it via galaxy and then reinstalling it.

If anything, posting your OSWlog.txt would help (it's in the GoG Games\Stranger's Wrath folder)... but remote debugging isn't my specialty.

This seems interesting, it'll skip over the launcher (I can verify this works) which is where your difficulty seems to be... or at least if the game crashes then we know you're having other issues.

One advantage of the offline istallers is that include the redistributables and all you need to run the game, it could be a fix, if that doesn't solve his problem, we can try another things!

Galaxy installs all the redistributables you need to run the game, regardless of whether you already have them installed. It's nothing to try because the Offline Installer is no different from the galaxy installer... it's just a packaged form of it.

I some cases the offline installer help, we don't lose anything for trying, I use the offline installers and the game works perfectly for me on Windows 10.
There's nothing on PC Gaming Wiki, so it's probably not a common issue. Do all the typical stuff (bios, drivers, uninstall, etc.) and also try the offline installers (though this release was made with clients in mind and I doubt it matters.
