As of 3/1/2018, I am experiencing tremendous lag. Did not have this problem before. I have tried looking for viruses and malware, reinstalled the game. Nothing helps.

Try running it outside of Galaxy?

edit: Maybe turn of shadows?

I didn't try Galaxy until this problem. Going directly to the file make no difference.

Tried turning shadows off before reinstallation. Will try it again.

Turns out they are still off.

Already read that thread. Where I got the idea to reinstall. Just realized, it is not just graphics, it is a general slowness in the game. Even menus are affected, like when you save.
Found the culprit. It was the display adapter. I was advised to change it to MS Basic for the crash issue. Switching back to the Nvidia driver fixed the issue. Hope the crash issue is gone.
I stand by my earlier assessment. The game is now unplayable. With the Nvidia drivers, the camera is out of control. Even on it's lowest settings, the camera speed zooms out of control. Is goes so fast, it is making me dizzy.
Can you try reverting to earlier version of display drivers?
Send in a support ticket for NWN2 at https://support.gog.com/hc/en-us/categories/201400969 If they can't solve the problem, GOG will issue you a refund. You might need to be patient as it's the weekend though

Depends when he bought the game. I don't think GOG will give refunds for games bought a long time ago, and having issues with some recent graphics driver or OS update.
