DROIDWORKS CONFIRMED!

This is the only possible explanation for such a delay.

nightcraw1er.488: It doesn't make it any clearer, I don,t have a credit card. I pay by debit card on each purchase. How hard is it to type in a few numbers to pay for you order? As I said, storing "credit" on the system will just draw hackers - just look at the posts on account hijacking we have seen this year. It just seems to me laziness which, when it all goes wrong, will be someone else's fault (i.e. how GOG aren't doing enough for peoples security).

Hunter65536: Even if I were to enter those 16 digits a gazillion times it wouldn't matter because my debit card doesn't work with Paypal, neither would it work directly through GOG's credit card payment option.
Edit: Plus I'm not saying it should store information, I'm saying that GOG having the ability to add some cash into "wallet" like thingy so that I wouldn't have to go to some other person for Credit Card or depend on trades. Nowhere in this discussion was storing credit card information ever mentioned by me. If you read all my posts, you can see that clearly.
I am not talking about saving credit card information, I am talking about storing credit on the system. I never use Paypal either, so the question is why doesn't your card work, and if it doesn't work how are you going to get money - i.e. credit - into the account? Sounds like its a problem on your end here.

As I said above, and will re-phrase so no ambiguity, storing money - in the form of credit in your wallet - will just draw hackers here in their droves.
Oh man, what a massively disappointing dud of a day! :\

Believe the part about getting money into account was already explained: As Hunter's card is not one of the types accepted by either GOG or PayPal, it's a matter of borrowing someone else's credit card, of a type that does work, for purchases. This makes it quite impossible to buy stuff quickly, such as in insomnia or flash sales, and possibly rather tricky at other times too. With the possibility of storing a certain amount of money here, said card would be borrowed when convenient and then the money will be usable when needed.
And GOG is already storing money, as they give it to make up for those who pay more as a result of regional pricing or prefer to process refunds as store credit instead of actually sending back money, or you can just ask for it as store credit yourself. It'd just make it easier and allow to select the exact amount you want to store.
Daylight saving or not, i just got home from work and the weekly staff picks STILL aren't up!

Something is going on. GoG wouldn't just break pattern without anouncing it in advance.

I'm quite sure an alien is wearing Judas' skin or something. All the staff have been replaced by aliens! It's the only explanation!

Imagine a 10m tall cockroach with tremendous strength and a huge inferiority complex, terrorizing downtown in a brand new Judas costume!

Yup! It's a bug alright!
Idle thought - that maybe GOG is waiting for the competition's sale to end before launching theirs.

Pure speculation, but it came to mind. Will know for sure in 35 minutes.

As if Gaben could change gear on their weekly planning in the span of 35 minutes. Those sales are usually planned weeks in advance. No need to deviate from normal update times for something like that.

But we'll see. A little over 30 minutes left.
A lot of people are expecting a big sale, and that's probably what this is, but personally I'm hoping that we're going to see some big releases instead. Or both!

Steam sale ends at 10 am PST. That's just under 90 minutes from now, not 30.
