Looks like GOG has (indirectly) spoken.

Short version: there is no bonus XP.

Both the badge description and the FAQ that references the check-ins have been updated.

Hm I thought it would make sense if after earning all badges, doing all check-ins and the completion of the Twitch quests there was just enough XP for Expeditions. But right now it doesn't look like that's going to happen.

Edit: Acc. to Reddit there is a chance that there will be more "actions" to do at some point (earning more XP).

My check ins seem to be completely broken... I've only got six and todays one doesn't seem to have shown at all (I've got the timer and checked all today...)

HOW DO I CHECK IN?
Checking in is really simple: every day during the Monstrous Fall Sale you can visit your XP page and click the Check In button at the bottom of the page. You'll have 24 hours for each check-in and when you get 7 of them you will be awarded the "On a First-Name Basis" badge that earns you 500 XP.

Petrell: I have 4300 XP, 3000 from other 5 badges, 700 from 7 check-ins and 600 from two twitch events. Did anyone else get the XP from unlocking the badge or is it broken?

It was subsequently changed, after several people inquired about it. The OP had it right when he first posted.

I tought I did but it's not there? Iirc, there was opt in link on top of the ranking when sale started and I clicked it...

That's how it looked like for me during last sale. Wonder what went wrong this time...

I'll report back if purchase (will probably make one today after next check-in) is required but that would be weird.

Only people who purchased something count apparently. Once I made my purchase it started showing my rank. Took over 2 hours for GOG to register the XP from the purchase btw. :-/
