Two pieces of news have come up up recently regarding consoles.

First is the teaser trailer for Nintendos new console is about to be shown on their website almost now on their website here. http://www.nintendo.com/

There has been much speculation on what it is. Most reports say it is some kind of new handheld or dockable tablet.

The other news is Sony have settled the old PS3 lawsuit regarding their removal of OtherOS aka the feature that let the PS3 become a basic linux computer.
Sadly it only applies to American customers and it's a paltry $55 or $9 sum but if you can meet the criteria I would apply for it.

I've been out of the console market for a small count of years, so I guess if I was going to get a new console I would probably get the PS4 pro, especially if Dragon Quest XI reaches these shores. +1 for the link.
