If you don't mind DRM bull, yes. If not, though.
All you know about me is what I sold you, dumbfuck!
I sold out long before you ever even heard my name.
I sold my soul to make a videogame, dipshit!
And. You. Bought. One.

Grargar: They also bought Compulsion Games, so who knows who will be publishing We Happy Few now.
Pretty sure Gearbox still has the rights to that one. Hope nothing happens to screw up the release or post release support.

Hmmm, according to the newest trailer, it's still on track to be published by Gearbox. If there is a sequel, though...

My first thought exactly. I guess Microsoft Studios games will be MS Store 'exlusive!'
Available with xbox game pass on XboX, Windows 10, Windows Phone and MS Fridge ; p
a fridge too far..
Oh no, I already imagine Hellblade on Windows Store only.
MS, stop buying things! -_-'

Enebias: Dang. Does that mean Hellblade will be removed?

Because if it is the case... I guess I'll never play the game. :(
doubtful.
but possible.
On the other hand, maybe - and it's likely the slimmest of maybes - maybe that will open the door to Microsoft bringing some old games here once they take a look at the contract, sales numbers, yada yada, for the title(s) they just bought.
It probably won't be removed very soon as I think there are still agreements in place. But the 33% discount is probably they highest it will be before the game is removed.

I envy your optimism. Really! XD
There is a sense of security, being backed up by a big publishing company, but I remember Ninja Theory being very enthusiastic with how Senua turned out, as their first self-published game. It is a strange move from them. Clearly there's more behind the scenes, that we just don't know.

I'm not too worried that Hellblade, might be removed for GOG because of Microsoft's involvement, because Ori made its way here even though it was a Microsoft published game from day one.
When Hellblade was released on GOG I emailed them about bringing their other titles here, but I never got an answer. Now it's even more unlikely, with Microsoft establishing their own store with exclusive releases.

And apparently NT put quite a PR spin on it: https://www.polygon.com/e3/2018/6/10/17447264/ninja-theory-microsoft-acquisition Blah.

Buying or establishing 5 game studios, supposedly to show their committment to XBO, so expect exclusives for that mainly, though also for Windows Store and Windows 10 in general. This after buying Github earlier. I'd say what a rotten time, but it's been rotten for quite a while. Should just say some stuff about capitalism and the finance-based economy, but consider I said it because if I start on that... Creative things (along with many others, but this is the matter at hand) shouldn't need to "pay". If they do, that becomes the priority, not the endeavor itself.

I think MS has a history to use also games to "entice" (or force?) people to move to new OS versions or services, like how Halo 2 PC required Wiindows Vista IIRC, and I recall they did a similar move with some other game with Windows 10. Also they did keep Age of Empires remake as Windows Store exclusive.

That is their prerogative of course, too bad for those who'd like to buy it outside of Windows Store. MS probably cares less of the potential sales of some games (by releasing it outside of Windows Store), compared to using it as means to get people to adopt their new service. Heck, even GOG is offering some freebies to get people to their service. :)

It's fairly likely that Hellblade will probably be removed at some point soon, although the sale price of €20 is simply above my digital limit right now.

I don't buy games on Steam anymore and certainly not over Windows Store so if this comes to be, Hellblade will sadly be one of those games that I never get to play (unless Microsoft suddenly decides to release a physical Xbox One version).
