Despite the always online DRM of Battle.net, the game has been cracked one day after release, being able to playing offline and without problems, one more proof that DRM just f*ck the legit costumers that support the game and that still have the online requirement and all the problems this horrible practices, time for Blizzard to learn that DRM Free games are always better, they have great sales here on GOG with their two releases!!!

I know it's kinda bad to say this but... they deserve it, still remember all the troubles with Diablo 3, you couldn't launch the game for day because the servers where saturated and after all that time and all the customers claims to remuve that f*cking system at least for single player they never did it! They are competing with EA to be the shittiest company every year.

Also, is this really news? All games get cracked all the time (and people who pirate them tend to get a better product). Unless something changed and I missed it?

This just made Assassin's Creed II DRM pop into my head, not sure why such a specific game.

Activision bought the rights of Crash, and yes all games eventually cracked but the always online system of Battle.net is really difficult and almost impossible so that make it quite an achievement to do it in just one day.

Massive misconception here. Battle.Net is not difficult to crack, nor is it "almost impossible." The thing is that Blizzard puts all the gameplay on their servers so you only run the graphics, they run the gameplay. THAT is what is hard to crack, because there's nothing to crack, you need to create a game server from scratch, using nothing but packet sniffing to figure out what the server is doing. You can do it, but it isn't a 1 day project, and it certainly doesn't always come out pretty.

Always online DRM is the ultimate form of DRM, that's why GeForce Now exists. Just like how Steam slowly became mandatory as people began accepting it to play the games they wanted to play, eventually we'll come to the point where you can't even get access to the code required to run the game.

I most notably remember their "tough Hearthstone esports moment". What a bloody disgrace.
