Stuck on Titan

<span class="bold">P&middot;O&middot;L&middot;L&middot;E&middot;N</span>, an atmospheric mystery game where you explore an impressively detailed space station, is now available, DRM-free on GOG.com, with a 10% launch discount.

An employee has gone missing and you are sent to investigate the research facility atop Saturn's moon Titan, where they were stationed. You were chosen for your mechanical skills but what awaits there will test not only your professional expertise and keen eye but also your willpower. There are things hidden beneath Titan's surface that might need more than one playthrough to get fully exposed but don't let that stop you from exploring the detailed environment, manipulating the numerous objects scattered about (with or without the help of your VR hardware), and striving to piece together the many mysteries of Station M. Even those that shouldn't be uncovered.

Search every nook and cranny of a mysterious moon base in <span class="bold">P&middot;O&middot;L&middot;L&middot;E&middot;N</span>, DRM-free on GOG.com. The 10% launch discount will last until April 27, 07:59 AM UTC.
Look interesting. Will wishlist it and await the word on the street.

Some of the graphics remind me of "Portal-style"; which I'm not sure plays into "..environment, that feels every bit as real as the one around you.."; but I'm keeping an open mind..

As noted <i>above</i>; it's another game that GOG Game Search doesn't find - even if you cut and paste the title right from the game card!

Come on, GOG, we shouldn't have to catch the release announcement, and then add it to our wishlists, in order to find it later in your game catalog.
I see someone at GOG still believes with all their heart that they can put boldtext into URLs. ;D

What are you talking about? All you need to do is know the name of the developer, and just enter that instead. That, or know enough about the game to be able to search by "genre" tags. I mean, really, what kind of person who's barely even heard about a game and just wants to see if it's here and find out more about it doesn't already know all that stuff before they look it up? </sarcasm>
I am very, very interested in this but I am also very scared of the SSD reccendation. Please could somebody tell me why I do need an SSD to play an adventure game of this kind? Maybe it is just lazy programming (bad streaming like in Batman Arkham Knight?). Before I don't know what this should mean and why this recommendation is here I will not buy it.

Azhdar: Do you have VR?
avatar
JDelekto: Not at this moment, no. However I did pre-order an HTC Vive the day they opened for orders back in February of this year and should be on one of the 'guaranteed' April shipments.

I finally got the "preparing to ship" e-mail last week, just waiting on the tracking number now. Reading a lot of the reviews and Reddit posts of others' who have been getting and using theirs has really built up some anticipation now, so... I'm trying to be patient. :)
When you've got it set up can you tell us if you can use it without Steam. Steam seems to be a base requirement to make it work.

I'd buy one if you can use it without Steam running.

Crosmando: So this is a proper adventure game with puzzles?
avatar
JudasIscariot: Yes, it is.
When will you release a proper puzzle with adventures then ! ;p

(on topic : it seems fun. My interest is ....piqued)

From the research that I have done, the Vive itself will be using Steam VR. Now, supposedly you don't have to launch the games through Steam, but you do have to have Steam VR installed.

A good test of this (when I get the Vive) would be to play Elite Horizons. I ended up getting this game from their site itself and not through Steam, so I don't launch it using the Steam client when I play. However, in preparation of the hardware, I have already acquired Steam VR and installed it. (Bringing it up right now just tells me that it cannot detect the headset.)

If, using the instructions I've found, I'm able to actually launch Elite Dangerous and configure it to run in VR without launching it through Steam, then it seems that other titles which support the Vive, but downloaded from other sellers (like GOG) can be run and use VR (again, provided Steam VR is installed).

Cheers chap.
At the moment VR means selling your data to Facebook or becoming Gabe's Peon.

I opted for the latter, it seemed the lesser of two evils. :)
Them system reqs: NOPE!
I definitely have enough walking sims for now... maybe later.

Depending on the speed of your drive you get little loading 'hiccups' while moving around.
It's kind of annoying, but since it's not an action game (I think) it might not be a deal breaker for some.
Game reminds me one of those American drama/action/mystery movies. Where bad stuff happens, it is all related to some everyday hero and her family, she digs deeper to find the truth, plot twist, she saves her/someone else's life. That's how I feel after looking at screenshots. Should be fun.

Falkenherz: What's with all the points between the letters? P·O·L·L·E·N? No one using the search function will ever find this game. It's even worse than S.T.A.L.K.E.R., which is at least using characters I can find on my keyboard. Oh well.
Good point.

Especially since the GOG website search function seems to ignore periods, but not interpuncts.
Hey, it's one of the developers here!

The SSD recommendation is just for the loading times. The game doesn't really stream during the actual gameplay so it shouldn't affect the performance even if you play on HDD.

We're also anxiously waiting for reviews to appear, but you can find Let's play videos on Youtube. Unfortunately it seems I'm not allowed post links so you need to do the search yourself.

Let me know if you have any other questions! Happy to answer :)

Hi,

How long is the game?
There is one review here on GOG, that says that you need VR to enjoy the ending? Really?
