I think it depends on the CPU speed. If the CPU speed deviates a lot from the optimal one (either faster or slower), then problems arise, at least related to camera movement jerkiness, Benny Hill speeded-up movement, some racing mission possibly becoming impossible because the timer runs too fast etc.

I've tried the game on two of my laptops. On one of them it seems to run fine without big issues, but when I ran that certain racing timing test (to see if the game is running at a correct speed), it wasn't quite. So i installed the mod anyway, and changed the gamespeed until I got a correct time in that test.

Later I also tried it on another laptop, and the problems were much more prominent in it. My character runs like Benny Hill etc.

So I downloaded the mod but don't know how to install it. A while back I added a mod to the sims but I think I just dragged and dropped it into the game files. I tried doing that but it isn't being added. Does anyone know how to make it work? Or do I have to alter the game files/programme?

Double click on the Create_Custom_GotR bat file and get the dos window. Hit enter as asked.

It should give you a list of options. I chose P for the simple default build, hit enter, and it installed.
