I'm trying to get the RPG-Bundle for €2.59 from fanatical.com (former Bundle Stars, if that rings a bell) before time runs out on GOG Connect for Rogue Wizards.

However, when I go through their checkout procedure I'm transfered to a gateway page that has misconfigured certificates which stops the payment process. Fanatical helpdesk plainly told me there is nothing they can do about it since that gateway page is not under their control and the only thing I can do is try a different card since that might give me a different gateway page.

Having multiple cards isn't really common around here so I only have one (and also have never felt the need for a second card since everything else works with my card).

I can either get you games on GOG for an equivalent amount in return or if you like you can also choose something from my list of game codes that I was preparing for a giveaway. Currently I have the following games:

Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee
Syberia
MDK
Grim Fandango Remastered
Dragonsphere
Little Big Adventure II
Neverwinter Nights Diamond
Saints Row

If you like RPGs I can recommend Neverwinter Nights, if you don't have that already.

If you are willing to help me out please contact me by chat. Thanks in advance and merry christmas everyone!

How does it work, can you buy a gift on Fanatical? Because I can't find anything.
Assuming no one's posted yet, I'll help you out.

I don;t have an account with them and I would assume new accounts wouldn;t be able to gift but I wanted to mention you may want to try lowering your browser's security level as low as you can get. That may be able to let you bypass the warning.

Fanatical is just a key reseller, so anyone could redeem those steam keys.
I've already bought a bundle for the OP and sent him the keys.

I still haven't received a reply, so I guess he must've gone to bed, but there's no need to get him another one.

Not in bed yet but I'll go now since it's past 3am over here. ;-)

Thanks to everyone who offered help and of course to Muntdefems who came to my rescue.
How long will this gog connect connection last?

You get game keys (mostly Steam keys but there are few others now as well) you can redeem or give to someone else. Basically same as on Humble store or Indie Gala or any other key seller really. I don't outright remember if there's any gifting option as such but as I said, you can gift the keys them selves to anyone you want (well, some keys are region restricted and even some bundles have had them).

Thanks both for settling this.

Geralt_of_Rivia: Rogue Wizards.
Thanks Petrell. Geralt, what do you like about RW? The game seems heavy on random combat and loot and little to no plot.

That was a good one. :-) That sentence can be used to describe every roguelike ever as well as most ARPGs like Diablo.

Simply put, Rogue Wizards is actually quite fun.

*) It is casual enough that you won't die from one single mistake (well, at least in the beginning) and permadeath can be switched off as well. It's very easy to get into and play a short run, take a break and continue later which reminds me a bit of Dungeons of Dredmor.
*) But it is deep enough that you have to take spell elements and enemy resistances into account as well as enemy strength and skills.
*) There is a wide variety of enemies. I'm only through the tutorial and the first dungeon by now and I have already seen enemies with a charge attack, enemies who can act twice per round, enemies with various elemental resistances and weaknesses, enemies with an area attack spell, enemies with a shield spell, enemies who drop loot every time you hit them, enemies which explode into a huge lake of acid when killed and a boss.
*) There is also a wide variety of weapons which handle differently. For example: Swords do standard physical damage. Axes can swing in an arc and possibly hit multiple targets. Staffs do various kinds of elemental damage. Bows are for long range attack but are typically weaker than close combat weapons. Chakrams are even weaker than bows but can hit multiple foes at range. Spears give you a free attack in the direction that you walk. So you have to adapt your playstyle to the weapon you use at the moment. You can ready several weapons but switching between them costs 1 turn.
*) Add to that the spells that you get during the game. I only have 2 spells at the moment but I have seen some Let's Plays and know that later spells can mix combat up quite a bit.
*) I like the graphic style. Especially the effect how the level falls into (or out of) view when you move.

I pretty much agree with this review of the game. If you like what you see it's not too late to get this super cheap through the bundle and reclaim a DRE-free copy on GOG. If you like roguelikes like Dungeons of Dredmor then this price is a steal.

I haven't played Dredmor but I have played Dungeon Crawl, which is free. I guess I"m used to thinking of rogues as free.
