Doc0075: To clarify for some, all games will be given out in two days time (UK Friday). Winners will be picked through random.org
Orpheus-GOG: You did nothing to satisfy my curiosity when I asked you about some of the inner workings of the GA (it's ok, I forgive you ;P) but maybe you could be kind enough to do it now. So I'll risk it: how does it work? Do you use
this tool to create the final list? I'm guessing you're going to feed the site with usernames? Is that correct? Assuming it is...then what? How do you link the randomized names to a game? =\
Yes, that is the tool I use. I select each game in turn, starting with what I deem to be the most popular ones first. I look to see who has requested the game I have selected and give them a number. I then enter the numbers in random.org and if there are 5 copies of the game up for grabs, I select the top 5 numbers that random.org has thrown up as the winners of that game.
joppo: The list of games as posted is a bit... massive, and since it's not particularly organized makes it a bit tough to compare with one's wishlist. Repeat entries don't help either.
So here are are the same games (including the later additions) condensed from 102 games down to an ordered list of 54 distinct games. I know I hadn't noticed one game I had in my wishlist, hopefully someone else will find this useful.
Thank you for condensing it down. I list the games how they are in my orders, unredeemed gifts tab. I do this because it makes life a lot easier for me when it comes to sending out the codes. It can be a real pain if I have to keep going backwards and forwards looking for each copy of one game.
