Dark_Art: Been trying to DL a game for two days now, finally gave up and asked for my money back. Will get it someplace else.

moonshineshadow: How did you try to download it?
If it was Galaxy, I recommend you to either use the old downloader or use the browser download.

Screw galaxy, last time i tried it, I wasnt able to update some games due to it messing up some dlls. Eventually I had to reinstall the games in order to get the updates.

Not sure what is that downloader thingie is all about, but I'd rather not install any other 3rd party things from GOG after all that fun I had with galaxy.

Been trying to DL it like I've always done it - through browser. Now when I try it, DL starts, gets to anywhere from 10 to 100 megs, hangs and fails, restarting the DL is not helping. Funny thing is, never had a problem with DL'ing stuff from GOG, be it large install files or small ones, but now I see that they are pretty much telling me to get galaxy in order to download. Fark that, I'll get the game directly from developer, even if it takes more paperwork.

The downloader works great, trust me, and I despise Galaxy.

Thank you. Looks like the downloader thing does what it should. I guess I'll recall the refund request, but something tells me that this was my very last purchase at GOG :(

Don't let some technical brew haha stop you from purchasing from GOG. They're one of a very few game sellers that does it DRM free. If more people buy certain games from certain publishers, it has a trickle down effect.

It's not doubtful that Oblivion and FO3 may come here soon as a test; if they do well, you might eventually see Skyrim and FO:NV DRM free. That's priceless, though I doubt certain other publishers *cough Activision cough* will ever bring the complete COD series here just because of the way multiplayer works, but it could happen.

GOG doesn't have the best code writers, but they do have a helluva lot of heart. Give them another chance :)
