Nice necro

I would say most 80ies music. Stuff like Modern Talking, Limahl, Bananarama, Depeche Mode, Cindy Lauper, Madonna, Shakin Stevens, John Denver, and Inxs. It's neither deep nor well performed but there was just so much passion and fun in the 80ies music scene that I can't help love it.
Oh, easy.

The musical works of the Brothers Chaps.

Ranging from simple incidental music, to actual attempts at rap songs by Coach Z.

Though it should be noted that they have done several crossovers with They Might Be Giants.

Since we're necroing anyway, let's go one step beyond...
I could, perhaps, put Pokemon glitch music in this category.

For an example, you could listen to the music in this video:

Edit: I could also mention the PDQ Bach rendition of the Beethoven Symphony No. 1, 1st Movement. (It's done like a sportscast, and it's hilarious.) PDQ Bach has a lot of other silly music attributed to him.

Exactly. A while ago, I decided to deepen my knowledge of 80s music; I turned my attention to some of that decade's bands that everyone knows just for one or two songs: A-Ha, Fine Young Cannibals, Men At Work, Cameo. I must confess, I was not expecting much, but I had to change my mind. Also names like Pet Shop Boys, Tears For Fears, Art Of Noise (and Depeche Mode. But I'd say, they're much deeper than the others you mentioned, and their music is indeed very well crafted).
There are so many 80s songs one could cite... Toto's "Africa". "Axel F." by Harold Faltermayer (the same author wrote this one, that I liked a lot as a kid - my dad, not so much). Even some of those sappy "power ballads" (as a musical pleasure, it doesn'get more guilty than that...)
(Also, 70s disco - like Moroder, for example. How come no one has mentioned "Rasputin" yet?)

Now that I think of it, some themes from cartoons and TV shows, or movie soundtracks, from that era wouldn't be out of place here.
