tinyE: A couple of days ago ciomalau PMd me to tell me the reason he was so screwed up was that his mother is Romanian.

So what's my excuse? My mother is from Missouri. :D

Oh wait....answered my own question.
Well, you're living in an area full of Finns.

Lord_Kane: I dont think Nintendo really thought this app through....

Tyrrhia: Because something out of their control happened?
Well no, just they have to know that there is danger out there and at least warn users, if they disregard that warning then thats their own fault.

This reminds me a little of watching the recent Co-Optional where TB was talking about playing one of the clash royal games in tournament or other and one of the features to make sure things were fairly fast was to do local ranking/match making. Sounds good, until you notice it identifies your address. If you disable that tracking it still gives GPS coordinates, which is also stupid because if someone dislikes you they know EXACTLY where you are when you are playing. And if you're streaming, you're probably doing it at home...

Some of this just doesn't work...

Well, I assume that, before being able to use the app, you have to read and sign this EULA.

In "3.2 Use Restrictions," it reads:
You shall use PGHT 1.5.0.1 in compliance with all applicable laws and not for any unlawful purpose.
And in "3.4 Limitation of Responsibility," it reads:
In no event (including, without limitation, in the event of negligence) will http://pkmongo.com/ , its employees, agents or distributors be liable for any consequential, incidental, indirect, special or punitive damages whatsoever (including, without limitation, damages for loss of profits, loss of use, business interruption, loss of information or data, or pecuniary loss), in connection with or arising out of or related to this Agreement, PGHT 1.5.0.1 or the use or inability to use PGHT 1.5.0.1 or the furnishing, performance or use of any other matters hereunder whether based upon contract, tort or any other theory including negligence.

http://pkmongo.com/'s entire liability, without exception, is limited to the customers' reimbursement of the purchase price of the Software (maximum being the lesser of the amount paid by you and the suggested retail price as listed by http://pkmongo.com/ ) in exchange for the return of the product, all copies, registration papers and manuals, and all materials that constitute a transfer of license from the customer back to http://pkmongo.com/.
So if anything fishy happens, it's clearly written that it's not their fault, but the users'. It's common sense that there is danger out there, so they don't really have to warn users. Plus, it's hinted at in the EULA.
I live in Missouri...0.0 I have one friend that told her son that he couldn't play because of these reasons.

Where in Missouri?

And as someone who lived there for 30 years I'm not at all surprised by your friend. XD This is a state where until eight years ago it was illegal to check out "Slaughterhouse V" from a public library without an adult present.

Anyone want to place bets when the first Pokemon Go player gets a Darwin Award?

Also ironic, since I work at the library. Oops, shouldn't give too much of my information away. :P
I don't give a fuck about ciomalau! :-/ He can die. Nothing of value was lost :P

I agree!

They´d have to at least put it right in the game´s intro "The use of common sense is recommended".

To late. The use of "the" instead of "a" before library implies there´s only one in the whole state. You´re being beaconed as a mythical pokemon, expect an influx of players with hockey masks, disregarding their surroundings storming your silent whereabouts.
