They've stated special editions in their description and so they have to deliver or you'd have every right to refund.

Am a big fan, but not big enough to warrant such a price. And I agree with Breja: they should've gone with the look from the 1st game for the statue. That usb is pretty cool though

LMAO, wouldn't quite have put it in such fiery way, but... well... ;-) Boy do I looooove my physical games. So much so that I never seem to stop getting them more companions. Even some devs still do offer physical, alongside and with digital, so nope, physical is not dead, and so yay! to that.

As tempting this collection may be -even though already, physically owning them, boy it is expensive. And on top of that, in the UK, burnt once will not be twice: if import taxes weren't bad enough, the postage cost does count towards the taxes. No kidding for that's something I found the hard way, hence being burnt.

Perhaps at some point down the line, cheaper and more local, might not say nay to getting one of those...

The price is insane, but to be fair the figure does look quite a bit better than that poor Guybrush.

Honestly the whole thing with figures in collector editions bothers me. These days that is always the main attraction, the linchpin of the whole thing and what drives the prices so high... and in the end it's just something to gather dust. Yeah, some look cool, but they are ultimately useless. A miniature you could use for D&D and in some board games would be way more useful and fun. Artbooks, making-of books, cloth maps, a t-shirt maybe - those things are much more enticing to me.

Very beatiful edition, i think the price is according the content. A must have for fans.

The maximum I paid for a physical copy in the old days was around 50 €. But well, anyway today a digital AAA game is 60 €

So maybe it is not so expensive.

Looks okayish to me. It does fulfill the one requirement that I demand of my physical editions: It features a standalone installer that doesn't require online activation of any kind. Also, the Ron Gilbert autograph is a nice plus.

As for the downsides: People already mentioned the absolutely ludicrous price. You're paying almost 200 dorra (more than that if you include shipping - German customs will likely take an additional $20+) for a bunch of ancient games, some garbage pieces of plastic and a sheet of paper that some has-been wrote his name on for 200 dollars. Even half the price would be fairly outrageous.

And here's the thing that bugs me most about these "collector's" physical editions: If you go on ebay, you may get the impression that the main market for these things doesn't seem to be the actual collectors, but asshole resellers who buy these things in bulk only to then resell it at ridiculously inflated prices.

Besides, I'm fairly certain you could get old retail copies of all of these games for a fraction of the price, and IMHO those are waaay cooler collectibles. Limited Run released Jedi Knight in some $70 collector's box recently. Sorry, guys, I can get the old retail copy for $10, and that feels way more authentic and hits the nostalgia G spot better for me than an overpriced collection of junk that seems aimed primarily at scumbag resellers and slobbering fanbois with too much disposable income. Same with System Shock: Still own the old retail copy and the Limited Run version with a mutant figurine and a smiley face sticker is a "nice-to-have" but certainly not a must-have.
