I just got an email from a friend of my mothers telling me I should be imprisoned for treason and or deported because I donated money to "March for Our Lives", and he wasn't trying to be funny, he was totally serious! XD

Possibly. Are there any specific games you're thinking about?

For someone to be offended about whatever, they need something which can be seen as a blatant attack on their values. If they have to think, analyze metaphors or whatnot, the offensiveness doesn't really kick in.

And sometimes, messages can get so removed from any connection to the real world that they loose the punch. Like Papers Please. Criticism of a fictional regime inspired by the soviet union is not really that relevant today.

Maybe a game in which one plays as a loyal Trump aide, helping Trump to combat the Deep state/prevent an assassination plot against Trump.
Could be a Deus Ex-like game.

Millions of people voted for Trump, and I do get the impression that many gamers admire him. I think there could be a whole series of MAGA games that would be very successful, e.g. "MAGA: Donald ex" for the Deus Ex gamie I just mentioned.

I don't like politics in games, especially modern politics. I play games as a hobby and an escape from day to day blah blah (especially news of any and all kinds. news media needs to die already).
