Well, there are some X's in MM8:
* In Clown Man's stage, there are blocks with an X on them. If the bell (in the background) is hit, the blocks will flash, and if you're on an X, you'll get hurt.
* The Wily 1 boss has crates with an X on them, which is not what you need to hit to damage the boss.
* And, of course, don't forget that one of the buttons on the PSX controller (used to play the original PSX version of the game) has an X on it.
