nightcraw1er.488: Hadn't realised it was. I am in Cornwall on holiday at the moment, I stood on something called a weaver fish earlier, stung like hell, thought it was a jellyfish, but no. Went to lifeguard and they had me sit by the station for 15 mins with my foot in boiling water, felt like being 12 again! And didn't get a lolly for being a brace boy either!

I admire your bravery and your foot has my sympathies. ;)
Never heard of them myself. It is a puncture wound, two dots and the foot showed where it happened, and was like a needle. There must be some sort of poison or something, it's the reason for the hot water to draw it out. Thankfully it's only the small ones here.
You should try the seaside, there is nothing like getting 3rd degree burns from the sun, being covered in sand and gloopy cream!

I am "immune" to this. In my culture Friday the 13th is not the supposedly unlucky day, but Tuesday the 13th instead. The reason, apparently, is that in the Roman calendar (and therefore in Romance languages) Tuesday was named after Mars, the god of war.

So I don't even notice when a 13th falls on a Friday.
