Did anyone ever notice the Militech Minotaur looks like a smaller version of a (Metal Gear Solid Series) Gekko? Minus the nanomachine legs.
You might want to provision some context for those of us whose lives aren't "80% movies".

I think almost most games that have mechs in them are, at one point or another, guilty of using, or I guess recycling is the better word, the same mech designs that other games might also have. What I mean by this is that, although not 100% the same, I think I've seen similar designs for a mech that at least resemble the Militech Minotaur or even the Gekko in other games as well. Heck, you might even find some mech concept arts that may share similar characteristics with both the Militech Minotaur and the Gekko. People just add some additional decorations to the design to make them somewhat distinct from one another although the fact remains that let's say, the chassis is still the same.

Examples:
Berserker from HAWKEN
Locust from Battletech

In the two examples I gave, the difference mainly lies in how the Militech Minotaur just looks fatter.

FUN FACT:
The Emerald Weapon superboss in Final Fantasy 7 actually looks similar to Kshatriya from Gundam Unicorn, although I believe the latter was inspired by the former, publish date wise.

There are only so and so much valid blue prints around, when it comes to designing working bipedal mechs.
I don't see it. The Minotaur has more in common with the REX Metal Gear than the Gekko.

But more to the point, do you even Mecha? It has more in line with an an Arctic Fox than Gekko or anything from Metal Gear.
