How do I install my GOG games on my hard drive instead of OneDrive? I just want to play offline, everything is defaulting to OneDrive.
I wonder how that's possible.

Personally i'd disable the OneDrive system service, and remove it entirely.
...Are you trying to game on one of those weird pseudocomputers?

Mate, you're going to have to give us more details on what is going on if you want help from the community. Since installing a game on a cloud-based backup system supposedly isn't normally possible, most of us are probably thinking you termed your question wrong. Perhaps you mean "how can I manually change the target directory when installing a game"?

It's not set to OneDrive by default, but it remembers where you last installed something.

When using offline installers, you can change the target directory by clicking on "Options" (usually on the bottom left).

When using Galaxy, the install button will show a prompt which lets you choose the target directory.

But is possible in local directory meant for syncing, which is probably the case. Why OP can't change it is still a mystery though.

Is this a Windows 11 thing?

In Win10 it only backs up the docs/pictures/videos/user profile. Installing it somewhere else should fix it. If not there's an option if you right click on a folder to always keep on device.

Going to back up everyone saying to disable onedrive though. Even if you set aside the security/privacy issues, the service is just not good. Top speed I've ever seen it download at is 3 MB/sec. FYI that's 243 days to DL everything if you fill the 1TB space they give you.

No, not Windows11. The directories for OneDrive can beconfigured, they are not OS dependent.

But it does not matter anyway. The OP does not seem to have even tried to install to somewhere else than the default path which for whatever reason is set to the OneDrive directory.
My experience has been that, on Windows 7 and 10 atleast, it would always suggest installing to the default parent path "C:\GOG Games\" if you had never installed a GOG game before or accepted the default path previously. If you have installed a GOG game before it will want to suggest by default installing to wherever you initially installed the first time if you gave it a custom path at that time. Either way, it should also give you the opportunity to install at some other custom path with each game installed.

Note, what I am describing is with using each game's own downloadable standalone installer. So, Skywatcher44, are you using the standalone installers or are you installing via the Galaxy? Btw- If you want to always play offline use the downloadable installers.

I thought you could install to the local shared (sync) directory, but that's not truly "installing to OneDrive". Like I said it's the OP not explaining the problem correctly, which is OK - we all make a mistake or need a helping hand to get started now and again, but wording is always crucial when asking for support.
